I am sorry, perhaps i am confused. Are you comparing the damage output of a Commando with Flame 4 to a Master RIfleman?

Hi all I have been thinking about droping my Flamethrower 4 for Master Rifleman. Currently I am 4 4 3 3 ch and plan on going master ch. However, I am 0 0 4 0 commando and my weapons skills dont really seem to be all that balanced. Meaning all I do is run around and spam flame 2. I like the damage I put out but I dont like the fact I have limited weapon skills. My question is has anyone dabbled with Flame 4? and would Master Rifleman vs 0 0 4 0 commando be a better pay off in the end? and is the damage each of the classes put out compairable. thanks all

Master the Rifle and don't look back.

956.412% more versatile and reliable than one tree of commando.

I was in the same boat as you. I was a Master CH with flame 4. Once the ch nerf I went Master Commando and now am getting Master Rifleman soon, hopefully. So my advice to you is...here's a list

1. Master CH

2. Drop master ch

3. Master Commando

4. Master Rifleman

5. Dabble in something for your remaining skill points

italianjob's recommendation is what i'm doing. i'm a master commando and half way to master rifleman. now that i have master commando, i would give up rifleman first. however when you mix the 2 professions it works out great for ranged combat. you can shoot em in the head at range and if they charge you just switch to the flame and you can actually hit them due to the master commando +40 flame accuracy.

in case i forgot it in my post, the names Tonamy, don't worry you'll remember it.

You get no defence in commando till you get master box, dump flame 4 and the marksman tree for rifleman - no doubt at all. If you have any interest in PvP then its a no brainer, Mind damage and defence are key - Flamer has neither.

This is exactly what I did in fact though for a holocron and as tough as flamers are in PvE the short range and poor acuracy are a pain, rifles get just as much AoE damage and far more interesting bits.
