How is it possible that I, a novice rifleman did 9035 dmg on a quenkers nest, using overcharge shot 1, when I usally score from 900-3000 dmg, Using the T21.

I noticed that too... I did 8000 damage once on a Lair, with My T21... Not sure how or why... Must be luck of the draw...

When nests are empty of creatures you will do mass amounts of damage per hit.

When creatures spawn from a lair, it takes lots of damage. If you were shooting the lair, while they were spawning, you might have mistaken your shot for the 9000 damage you saw on screen.

It's not a bug, it's intentional. It was in the patch notes several months back.

Yeah.. I don't think it's a bug. I think it's the way it is supposed to work. I remember reading a post somwhere that once a lair is emptied of Critters the lairs defense is supposed to drop dramatically so that you can finish it off quickly, the thing is I have only experienced this happening with naturaly spawned lairs and not "mission" specific lairs..

Its intentional, it happens when the nest is empty and its purpose is to allow you to finish it off quickly since no more creatures will spawn.

To bad this does not work on Faction mission camps, anyone knows a way to finish them of quickly ? It takes me about 2 or 3 Minutes to clear the rebels, and the same or even more time just blastin away at the structure. Help would be appreciated

It does happen with mission lairs, just that the lair has to be "empty". If you get to a mission lair kill the guardians run out 300m run back and kill them again, eventually you're going to get it to where it is "empty". Then you can do that massive damage to the lair.

I have noticed on Piket lairs it ONLY happens if a Piket has HEALED the lair at some point. If all the Pikets die without any healing to the lair, I get no help finishing off the lair. But if, at any point, a Piket has healed the lair even partially, all of a sudden my finishing shots are way up in the thousands!

I now intentionally try to get the Pikets to heal the lair, but I dont know how to do it. Apparently if you shoot the lair itself during the spawning process, they might ignore you and heal the lair.
