Thread: Rifleman leveling.. question?
Ok.. I'm now a 3/1/1/1 rifleman.. and I'm getting pretty bored of the grind.. maybe I'm doing something wrong? I dunno.. I know it's a lot of xp to grind out, but I know it'll be worth it.
That being said, I'm also a 3223 CH. I pretty much use a pet to tank for my while I snipe from range.. I'm doing pretty good HS3's now and I'm wondering something..
**edit** is the best way I can level through the rest of my rifle XP? Is there some sort of macro I could run to help augment having to sit on my PC for 5-6 hours daily to try to level?
like for instance, parkmyself near a respawn point and use some sort of /afk macro that will do it?

First off, since you are a CH like I once was, you probably should have gotten your skills to 1/1/3/1 first instead of 3/1/1/1, but it's too late for that. Your next goal is to get to 3/1/3/#, with that comes flushing shot2, which will be your new best friend until master.
Until you get there I would suggest joining a group on Dantooine. You can whip through the missions, just make sure your pets attack everything once so you'll get lots of CH xp as well as rifle xp. Then once you get flushing2 it will get much easier, with your pets you make sure they get the agro of several creatures, then flushing 2 will hit them all. This will get you much more xp. I'd still recommend staying in a group since it will speed up the process because you will not have to heal your pets back up as much. Good luck.

I just got Flushing 2, but I haven't gotten a chacn eto use it ..
Last night I went to Endor.. my first time there since I got turned in to a little bitch last time I went ... I think before I started rifleman.
Anyway.. I fought Gurreck Forest Stalkers.. and you know what.. I kicked some ass!! Without conceal shot either.. I don't care for it that much.. takes too long.
I'd basicly lay the classic two bleeds on my victim, then peace out.
Back off about 100 meters.
Wait untill it charges at me.. when it gets in range, I'll try a suppression shot... that usually fails 50% of the time.. if it fails, then start warning shot. ONce that works (work about 90%) then use supression fire as the target is running away from you... at this point after a warning shot, my suppresion fire lands about 95% of the time.. Usually freezes the enemy about 45 - 55 meters out. Perfect for HS3 at that point, or HS2, whatever your prefrence is. Then blast it with about 2 or 3 HS3s, and then repeat the warning shot ordeal.. or it might even be dead by now.. depends on how good your weapon is.
I get about 3.7k xp per kill....
What i try to do is to find what meat or hide is selling really well at the time, and then go kill the criters that give it to me .. that way I'm making a lot of money and also grinding up rifle at the same time. Since my goal is to make a certain amount of resource to sell, I don't really notice the rifle grind, it just kinda happens. I'm still having a lot of fun with it, and I hope that Flushing Shot 2 will make things even more entertaining.
The other thing is that I'm not holo grinding.. so I actually want to be a rifleman.. I'm not sure what your case is.

With this you should go to dantooeen and use that headshot three on savage quelunkers. depending on your rifle you should do it in 3 HS3 with a good T21. Those missions run 6900 on the destroy terminal.

Ditch the pets........Get buffs and get some fishak and muon. Then you dont need a tank to steal your xp. 3900 xp in three shots cant beat it.

If you do this with a speeder you can make 400k in 2 hours......oh yeah kill everything else too especially picket protectors 4200xp there.......just remember BUFFS
