Anyone doing this? It is where I am heading, and was wondering if anyone had some experience with this combo to share?

I used to be that combo. Works great for PvE. Send your pet in to gather up some agros and then use your area attacks and rack up the xp.

Scout, Marksman, Creature Handler

Would be good in PVE but your pets will go down in record time in PVP

And Marksman don't get any Area Attacks.. just F.Y.I

Works quite well as a PVE combo, maybe the best PVE combo in the game.

PVP, your better off getting TKA, Doctor, CM, or some other melee profession.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

I think it is the best PvE template in the game. Best part is, Riflemanmakes CH xp easy, and CH makes Rifleman xp easy (if that makes sense). I'm screaming up both trees fast. Hunting exclusively on Dant and Dath.

I am a Master Rifleman and Master Creature Handler. Rocks as people have stated in PvE. But Pets are useless generally in PvP, a minor distraction for the enemy. And if PvP involves more than one opponent ie a raid on a base or base defense, I dont use them anymore. They get killed fast and lose vitality. Mostly because they are dead before I can call them out of battle.

I am thinking PVE for now anyway...thought flushing shot 2 was AOE?

I assume I need to give up some scout, but keep the mask scent skills as high as I can?

I found that CH made rifleman advancement easy once you hit Flushing Shot 3. But I have not found rifleman great help in leveling CH. The trouble is that we do not have a high damage random pool single target attack. Our best attacks are AoE. It works great for rifle XP. Send your pet in on the nest. Every critter agroes on it, then blast away with your best AoE. Aside from an occasional agro, this just rakes XP in. But I have not found a particularly good way to get CH xp. I was going up CH and Rifleman at the same time. I hit MRM about a month before hitting MCH. Having reached MRM and MCH I don't really see much use for MCH anymore. I am in the process of giving it up for Master Swordsman. I think Master Swordsman/Master Rifleman is actually a better PvE template these days.

Your strategy didn't work good for CH xp because your pets were attacking the lair. I know it's too late now, but with a little extra time you just make your pets attack each creature before you open up with your AOE's. You get full CH xp if your pet at least hits the creature before it dies. So basically it's<tab> "Attack!", wait for creatures health to drop, <tab> "Attack!", etc. until all creatures are attacking your pets, then lay waste to them with flushing shot 2.

Sorry, meant to add that I hit MCH at about the same time that I hit MRM, with MCH a couple of days sooner.

We dont, but the Marksman skill tree does... You hav Overcharge Shot and Overcharge Shot 2 at Master Marksman.. Only problem with them is that they decay your weapons fast so dont use your favourite Rifle.
