I am about to Master Rifleman and I can go 2 directions...My template will be Master CH/Master Rifleman

Should I master Marksman...Is there a benefit to this?

or is it better to dump some skill points into Medic for self heals on the battlefield?

Marksman will help if you cannot locate a +7 or +8 rifle speed tape (These are gold I tell you)

I'd go with Medic

In my opinion, since you are a CH, the speed you lose form not being Master Marksman will be offset by your pet. It can also be easily made up for with rifle speed attachments. So, medic would have more benefit, with that particular template.Twenty sixskill points for +5 speed is alot, and is worth it under other circumstances. At least in this Rifleman's opinion...

The +5 is a huge difference at master because of the mathmatics of the speed calc for weapons. There is a good thread about this under the marksman forum by Volstad I think.

Of course it depends on your playing style and what you are going up against.

exactly.. if you're pve only, forget master marksman.. the added speed won't be necessary.

for pvp, i'd go for +95 rifle speed no matter what. buy a tape if possible, but master marksman if not.

OK...One more question....Is the ranged support tree important to have as a Master Rifleman? If it is not then would it be better to get novice Pike for the Block mods?

For PvP, ranged support in marksman is good for suppression fire (if you hit with it, keeps melee profs off you, and can cause a KD if dizzy is applied with flurryshot first, and your target is running).

also, i've heard of people using /aim against defense templates, but that requires that you stop moving-- i hate to stand still in pvp, so i don't use it.

i can't speak about novice pike's block one way or another.
