Hey all, as I just hit Master the other night (thanks to all for the congrats) I haven't really attempted much PvP yet. I was hoping if some of the more experienced Masters out there could share some of their strategies for 1-on-1 and battle PvP scenarios.

assuming you're buffed like you need to be, these are my preferences:

1on1 vs unarmored opponent-- T21, headshot3

1on1 vs armored opponent-- jawa ion rifle, headshot3

1on1 vs defense stacker -- t21 or jawa (depending on armor), mindshot 1-2 (goes through secondary defenses), flurryshot2 (until dizzy), suppression fire (if you have it, hope for a hit and KD), headshot3

Substitute strafe2's if you have multiple targets in your area of effect, and don't need to concentrate on a particularly dangerous opponent. Also, mix in flushing2's for stuns, as they reduce some defenses and other stats (or so it's been hinted).

all guns sliced for damage. powerups for damage/mindcost.

If you are fighting 1on1 vs defense stacker couldn't you use flurryshot1 since it is faster and less HAM cost? If you are bleeding mind you wouldn't need the extra dmg multiplier from flurry2.

Make sure you always have ryschate, fishak, breath of heaven, bivoli, and whatever else food/drink that helps the mind in your toolbar or hotkeyed. Eating two ryschates will reduce the HAM costs of any rifle to almost none, and by the time it wears off you'll be able to eat another ryschate. I always have a muon ready as a last resort, and to counter the spicedowner take a fishak and switch to a lower HAM cost rifle (laser or jawa.)

If they're wearing armor, always use a jawa and headshot away =)

i'd use flurry2, for several reasons

1. you asked about master level strategies, so speed doesn't matter

2. i stated "if you are properly buffed, as you should be..." so HAM costs are not considered.

3. if you're going to hit to inflict a state, might as well do as much damage as you can, since random pool attacks do hit the mindpool on occassion.
