Thread: Destroying Lairs?

Hello folks, im still a sux rifleman (only 2101 atm) and im hoping to go all the way up to master rifleman, but i just cant seem to destroy lairs effectively.


As an Imperial, i find my easiest xx destroying bases on Dant, i usually get a nice payout too, but it usually takes a VERY long time to destroy the actual bases once im finished with all the personel.


Are there any specials available to be that do extra damage against lairs or anything? currently i just use y spraystick and go afk for 7 mins or so b/c it seems to do better damage than my laser or t21 since their AP dont work against the lairs. Is my only option to try to grind up the flurryshot tree for the speed bonus and use my laser of t21 rifles instead of my spraystick once my speed cap is lowered accordingly? or is there some other way to deal with this problem?

I have had Concel Shot do CRAZY amounts of damage to lairs. Other than that I'm usually in groups and its never an issue but I just got concel shot and tried it on a lair and did something like 5k dmg to it with one shot

Yes, but how long did it take for you to get off that second shot? I'd just say stick with the spraystick and make sure you have a good one. A shot every second is always nice, even if it is just mediocre damage, it adds up.

If the lair is empty, any attacks do extra damage to it. If it's not, it takes normal damage. This usually works with animal-type enemies, but faction missions and humanoid camps are never considered empty so you have to blast away at the 64k HAM target without any bonus damage.


I used spraystick on them even at high levels, better to waste a few minutes afk than to waste a lot of durability on a 35% damage sliced laser rifle.

rifles and lairs just dont mix, i ahve the same problem and its basically unavoidable. Once you progress through rifle more, it will get easier with higher damage attacks like Volley 2

Well thats just to prevent people from destroying the lair and skipping the pests. I know I used that exploit plenty of times back when baz nitches were all the rage.

dont run faction missions with huge bases with massive amount of xp. I mastere rifleman twice so far and the easiest xp in the galaxy is quenkers, right where you are on dantooine. They give 2.5 k xp for the regular ones and the savage ones give 3k xp, plus they dont deathblow is you get incapped. And both of them you can kill in just a couple or few hits with a t21.

err i meanth health points not xp for the bases. Creatures lairs are also alot easier to destroy then those pisky npc bases.

I've tried Quenkers before and i seem to wind up incapped a lot more versus them than rebels. My T-21 only has a max damage of 380 or so (got abad speed slice on it) and thusly i cant kill quenkers very well as opposed to rebels which i can usually get in 2-3 hits.


The time i spend incapped seems to pretty much offset the loing time to kill the lair, and factioning i get the bonus of finding moneys and items on the rebels (found a twin force crystal on friday wuwu!) as well as imperial faction.


how does everyone kill quenkars so effectivly? do i need to get a damage slice? or maybe some good powerups to use while shooting the evil little quenkers or what?

I'm a picket man myself but I just get so that all of them are 64 m away go prone and hit both bleeds on them all. Since I get 2 free shots each that means I am not actually being attacked until the first tick so I have plenty of time to bleed the rest and get some range. Then when they start running towards me I...well you'd flushing shot 2 them in order to get damage across all the ones tailing you, otherwise use hs2 on the last one you bled in order to have him catch up. This way even if they incap you while kiting you get the kills 2 seconds after getting up.
