Thread: Which creature-pet to use with Flushingshot2?

okay, im levelling to master rifleman from a blank slate for the second time (yeah I know, I forgot to take my medication..) 
Last time I did it took about 3 weeks on dant killing pikets with MS1&2 and headshot3.
This time I'd like to try the Flushingshot2 approach that has been recommended in this forum i.e., send in a creature-pet to attack a lair, then spam Flushingshot2 while the mobs attack your pet.
For this to work you would need a pet with good HAM and kinetic resistance - just wondering if anyone can recommend the lowest level creature-pet required to do this? I'm a non-CH but could probably afford 1 box of CH if necessary..

Bioengineered pets almost always have better HAM and resists than tamed pets of the same level (not counting the bugged CL10 ones with 8k ham and 25+ resists, those are being fixed in next patch). The BEs found a way to make non-bugged CL10s with ~3k HAM; those should last long enough, or you could just kite the mobs while buffed and armored.

there is not a good pet for this anymore at even novice CH levels. the rock beetle used to do very well for this sort of thing but its armour got removed.
BE used to be able to exploit animals sub-level 10 and still retain their armour. fortunately they have all been removed.
your best bet to use flushing2 is to go to dath and join rancor hunting parties if you dont have pets you cn borrow from a CH friend. CH can "friend" pet to people and as long as the CH stays on planet you can use their pet as if it were yours.

Hey guys and gal, thanks for your advice!
I was worried the CH changes may have affected the flushingshot2 tactic. Given that I cant afford the points for decent CH skills I'll stick to exterminating the entire population of pikets and quenkers on dant. Poor things.. 
See you in two weeks when the grind is over (Im praying they dont bring in the single bleed nerf just yet..!)

If you are a CH and have access to a decent pet then it still works I am not quite a MCH yet but I am a Master Rifleman. I use a GSP to hit the lair then switch to Jawa Ion Rifle. The Jawa will not damage the lair so mobs will stay aggroed on pet. Be warned of the occasional aggro you will get from the lair. I dont use this to get exp anymore but to help guildies get exp. send in my pet let them pick off mobs at thier leisure.
