Thread: Rifle +5 Speed Tapes

Hey all,
I'm a master chef, master rifleman, and (with medic) I don't have enough points to master marksman (for the +5 speed). For all of you wholooted +5 Rifle Speed tapes, where did you find them? The selling price is way too much for my liking, so I'd like to know some places where they turn up from time to time. Thanks.

Dizam!! 5M! Very nice. I'm thinking Eclipse will get ya one for 2M tops. But, what do I know- mine was a gift

Heh I paid 1.7m for a +6 speed to complete my +11 set on Chimeara.
What I've seen is that you can get a +1-3 for under 100k per speed point while anything over that will cost you a lot more per point.
I put together +5 rifle speed for 190k by bidding on low end tapes. The only reason to pay the large sums of cash is if you have a specific setup in mind. (I wanted a large value tape to go in my ubese shirt so I'd know whatever armour I was wearing I would have at least +6 speed.)

+5 tapes should go for about 1-2 mil on just about any server, maybe a little more on some. 1mil is about norm on mine. You can make 100k/hr soloing piket lairs on dantooine easy using the right food/drink combo. Don't even need doc or entertainer buffs (tho they do help). 120k an hour if you can find a city with improved job market. So at that rate it would take you 10-20 hours of play time to make that much money. May sound like a lot if you think about it in terms of credits, but what you need to remind yourself is you're buying skill points. That +5 speed tape is making it so you don't have to spend an extra 34 skill points to get that bonus. 34 skill points to spend where you really want is priceless. 2mil is cheap.
