With much cheering and letting off fireworks I mastered rifleman yesterday. So..with my new found expertise, I unleash myself on COA Act 3 and ponder renaming the master title to Quenker Bane.

Anyway, I arrive at a Jabba warehouse and set to on the sentries with conceal shot. Well, one conceal shot fired and I then start wondering who is firing on auto at them. Ahh, it's me, this is seriously fast and my conceal breaks as I don't spam enough conceals to stop normal shots getting through. Spamming lots of conceals should do the trick though it might be difficult reacting to something unexpected..or I may run out of mind

Tip No 1: Think I'll replace the natural conceal shot with a macro with some pauses in

So..into the warehouse in armour and with a Muon high. Fire a few shots at the Jabba traitors and run outside where I can get some range. I now have 5 baddies after me so it's time to try SS2. Ooops (1), this is fast as well, ooops (2) I have no mind left - could be in trouble now - ahh maybe not there are now 5 white crosses on the screen.

Tip No 2: SS2 is fast, deadlyand expensive, Muon, food and drink cocktails seem an answer. Wonder if the chefs can do Muon cakes

Ok, maybe it's me needing to get used to the added abilities Master gives but it is (as many here have said) a big leap from 4444 to Master. Does anybody have any other tips for using correctly?

well, you've learned in a trial by fire-- and it sounds like you came out fine.

yes, with our awesome speed at master comes an incredible ham drain. concentrate on focus buffs... when shooting full blast, even a 2x mindpool drops in 10-15 seconds. so, ryshcrate, breathofheaven, etc are the keys. Musician buff, too, if you can get it. just do everything in your power to get your focus above 1600, preferrably above 2000. if you can do that, you get free shots (no mind cost).

i buy food/drink/drugs by the multiples of crates, and have them macro'd and hotkeyed. there's just no other way.

Yes, whilst I did very well in the trees with just buffs, or muon, or food, or drink, it seems that to really use Master to its full potential I must start combining these.

I have found with Master and my T21, I can do so much dammage so fast, that I dont have to even use the specials. Unless of coarse in PvP, and they are just no good when you are with a group. Others kill so fast that the health and action is gone before you wipe out the mind. I have found that I only use specials sometimes when soloing, in PvP or when hunting really large game, like Rancors with a group.

is there any other kind of hunting? i mean, seriously... if you're a master rifle, what else do you do other than solo hard stuff, pvp, or group hunt max level mobs?

yep, do yourself a favor and spend a mountain of credits on ryshcate, BOH, glucose pate, and fishak.

muon gold is a good backup/"mind heal".

1400 focus will allow you to spam pretty much any shot/rifle without drain.

also try and find a +5 rifle speed tape. try aukuans on talus, and gackle bat caves, etc.

(lewt the debris and magseal containers, and aukuan bodies).

you think strafe2 is fast with +90 speed? put +95 on =)

I must play like rathnak because most of the time I just use autofire with my T21 to save my mind. It does decent damage quickly and saves my mind. I may open up with a couple flurry2 shots to get the NPC's dizzy and let my friends knock them down while I autofire, or send in a couple well time SS2's when the enemies line up, but there aren't many creatures that I need to use SS2 on. When I am forced to use all specials (In PVP or agains some tough creatures or NPC's I have to prepare first.

I mainly stick with power boost, then pop a fishack, then a muon. This puts my mind up at 2650 and my focus at 1150. I can spam SS2 for 8 minutes straight but my mind will be very low after that and the muon downer will incap me so I have to be carefull . I had to do this the other day to a night sister elder in order to outdmg a group of 6 rebels and it worked great.

You can get it so you can spam all day long if you get your focus up to 1400, but I am keeping my focus and willpower at 600 since this is the "supposed" cap of humans. I don't consider migrating above 600 an exploit or anything, I just want to have good habits in place for when they fix it.

One thing you want to watch out for on the T21 is the HAM cost. I saw a bunch for sale the other day that had 20 more max dmg than mine and almost bought one, but then realized they had 110 mind HAM cost compared to my 70. Find a good weaponsmith that doesn't put the stock on the T21, buy a bunch and pray for a good dmg slice .

At Master level speed, you can kill many white cons and even some yellows so fast now that, even it it take 5 or 6 shots, many things will now be dead before they get a chance to aggro. With a +5 speed tape or Master Marksman, you can even get Strafeshot2 at that speed. That is like having a whole skill tree full of concealshots with different styles. I still love concealshot, but there is a lot of stuff that used to kick the crap out of me that is dead before it has a chance to aggro even when it is in the middle of a buch of its friends. Buahahahahahaha.

110 mind costs are managable. All of my guns are100+ on the mind cost, even lasers. 550 health secondaries and 600 action and mind secondaries plus 1 ryshcate and 1 BoH gives HAM free shots as long as they last even with 100+ HAM cost guns.

i use minshots. use both minshots on the critter. swap to next in the chain. mindshot him move on etc

then headshot and snuff 1 by 1

when i did the jabba warehouse thing. i was barely injured. i took out the 2 guards on th eout side from 60 m with MS & HS

then moved into the building, used MS on the guy i saw then run out. by the time he got outside a couple of HS and he was toast. same with the rest of them. even when 3 came out at the same time all they did was run as fast as they could to get away..
