Thread: Conceal Shot stealth nerfed?!?!?!?
Heh ok so after the big "spare no one" publish I noticed I could still be effective without my maulers,

yeah, it sucks, id rather use a tanking pet, but still Id rather spam conceal shot than die 50 times to kill anything with a high ham and/or defenses.
Tonight I noticed that at around the 10th conceal shot the creatures ALWAYS agro now. And on one creature I noticed that my conceal shot had given the beast a 1dmg action bleed which kept the thing agroing on me for 1000 meters.
Great conceal shot worked for what? 1 week? 2?
Simply stay 50+ meters from the critter, scentmask if you can and for love of (insert deity here) DON'T let the over eager melees run in and kick them, certain death for you as entire camp will agro.
Humanoids are a bit trickier but unless they'r already agro from 65 meters, lay down, take cover and conceal shot untill dead...
Should be pretty obvious tactic but I've seen surprisingly often people wading in and blasting away, sure you might kill them faster but you can be pretty certain to be splattered all over the place when the whole camp of red/yellows swarm on you.
im talking about taking on things with 300k ham
also mask scent goes poof as soon as you fire
I haven't noticed any difference around NPCs and such. High end NPC's that patrol detect me at 64-65 meters, so they have always been tough. Haven't noticed creatures getting a bleed either. But I haven't tried out taking on the huge critters yet. Might be something to look into.

I have not seen Conceal break after 10 uses however. To test this, I just took down a War Gronda with my decayed & gimped spray stick & only conceal shot. Took upwards of 100 shots to do it, but I only missed once and I didn't get aggro'd. I HAVE seen it break after missing twice, but this is not changed from before the patch.
Overall, if the chance of a bleed shot is the only thing they've added to Conceal, I'd say it's not a bad nerf and Conceal is still a great special.
1. mask scent works perfectly
2. concealshot works fine on any mob on dathomir ranging from 100 ham to 60,000. i have tested on nearly 50 mobs since the patch and maybe i have had it fail once.
3. if your mask scent is expiring (for whatever reason, my guess is detection) then stalking mobs will see you, and will come in your direction and will aggro. if you were concealshotting npcs it makes no difference, they'll aggro in detection range.
4. are you a master? perhaps concealshot is being counted in our concealment chance rolls. i haven't seen any conclusive data pointing at that happening or not though.
and a 300k+ ham mob?
personally i want to know why the hell anyone would try a 300k ham mob out solo (with concealshot) unless it was just to say it was possible. none are energy vuln. 150 powered up shots would be extraordinarily generous. even if it was possible (which realistically it isn't) why shouldn't it be nerfed? players shouldn't be soloing those mobs. sure it should be technically possible (barb-wire's bleed/speeder tactic) but the point of this 'patch that spared no-one' (although it actually made 100x more fun) was so you couldn't be doing cheapass crap like soloing krayts and dark jedi masters.
