Thread: I say NO to the Hola!
I was grinding to be like everyone else and grind out my holocrons and I thought to myself, why am I doing this? I mean jedi will be cool, but I won't be able to do the things I love, like own pvp as a master cm. almost master rifle w/o fear of getting permadeath. The holocron said Fencer, and I said no Mr. Holo you can not corrupt me and my rifleman ways. I was just wondering if anyone else gave up the holo grind at least for their main rifleman character.
Rifleman isn't a proffesion, it's a lifestyle.
I'm a master rifleman...doing the holo grind...but I refuse to drop master rifleman..........so if I get Bounty Hunter (the only one that would cause me to lose any rifleman skills), I guess I will never be a jedi
I got my first one a couple of weeks ago, said carabeneer, havent't even started yet. why give up something that is fun for something that will eventually only frustrate me ... I lost interest in Jedi when I broused the Jedi forum, maybe when they get the overhaul it could actually be fun to play, but at the moment I don't see me giving up rifleman anytime soon
well, my current attitude towards FSCS ... look at my sig
Man my second said Master BH
I figure I'll get all the skills I can without losing any rifleman skills, then wait awhile. If We get the nerf bad hard then I'll go for master, if not - I'll stick rifleman

So lets say I master musician. What then? Master Armoursmith? Something else I dont WANT to do? There IS enough to do in the game without having to grind out profession after profession just to become a noob with a lightsaber that everyone hates or envies.
I started the game with the intention of becoming a Master Rifleman/Master Ranger, but decided I could not get both and keep the medical skills (to heal myself) and artisan (for surveying) skills I wanted. So I decided to just dabble in Ranger because Rifleman is really my style of play.
Because I was also grinding Scout to Master and up into Ranger and building a resource business, it took me a long time to also master Rifleman, but I did it. This left me only the Tracking line of Ranger, but Areatrack was cool.
Two weeks ago, I finally talked myself into dropping Ranger, most of Scout (goodbye Master Scout) and artisan (guildmates survey for me)to pickup Master Swordsman (hello 4 mind bleeds and melee damage mitigation). Having a thriving resource business and knowing now what Mobs to grind means I Mastered Swordsman in just under 2 weeks (wohoo!).
This is all to say that I have gotten my character exactly as I want it, and it took a long time to do it. So it should be no surprise that I have not even opened a holo on this character, nor do Iintend to,because I am simply not interested. I gave my holo gifts to my son's character. Someday, I may open one, but it would just be to find out what it would have told me. It will be of no consequence. I am giving nothing up from what I have worked so hard to obtain in order to chase Jedi just togive a bunch of 12-year old (either physically or metaphorically) punks atarget to brag about killing. (*Disclaimer: My apologies to 12-year old players who are not punks... I do not include you in my comments here.)
My secondary character (the one that I created on another server only to have something to do when my primary character's server was down) got a holo saying, ironically,Master Ranger. I may pursue that on that galaxy, but I am having too much fun with my primary character to care.
