Which of these laser rifles is better? One is faster, with higher minimum damage and a higher wound percentage. The other one has a huge maximum damage. Which gun is better for PVP? I heard speed was important for that.

Laser Rifle 1 Laser Rifle 2

Speed: 5.7 Speed: 4.0

Damage: 57-555 Damage: 81-447

Wound: 16.8% Wound: 26.7%

If your a master #1

If your not a master #1 again, I do like the wound rate on # 2 though(Make doctors and CM's pay with mind wounds)

What are the HAM stats on the rifles? That will also be important

Nr 2 has a higher mindamage,which makes it more useful in pvp.

Thats the reason I dont like the Laser rifle; too random. Yoi might get a 2,5k headshot followed by a 300 hit

Sorry about the double post. i waited about 10 minutes and and it didnt show up the first time. I'm a novice commando. I'm starting a second account to be a bounty hunter. So, I'm not a master. I'm just buying guns for my second account while I have the credits. After I master marksman for the BH character, I probably won't use the rifles much.--Gut

The HAM is considerably better for the damage sliced gun. To be honest, I rarely look at HAM when I'm buying stuff;

Laser Rifle 1: H-14, A-23, M-60 Laser Rifle 2: H-43, A-52, M-89

Thanks for your opinions, you've been a big help.--Gutnug

Get them both. Use the high dmg one for specials and autofire with the speed one.

You need to think a little differently with regard to HAM for rifles than you do for other professions. Other professions can just pop a stim (at least until the proposed HAM costs changes go into effect) to heal their specials costs. But rifles primarily use the mind pool for HAM costs, so you use up your own mind at a fantastic rate. The mind pool is unhealable, so you cannot ignore HAM costs when it comes to rifles. Musician/Dancer mind buffs can help, and the appropriate spices or food combinations make mind costs less of a problem, but it is still something you have to watch. Just bear that in mind as you make your decisions.
