no devs don't like CH lol... it seems that every profession is seeing the same thing. i know someone it about every profession, and they all report the same thing. another thing to consider is that rifleman hasn't been that popular in the past. so ppl have mastered other professions other than rifles. so maybe they have that box already done in their jedi quest.

u know u are only noticing it cause u are prolly a master rifleman but every profession is getting it just the same. i think i have heard of rifleman being one of the least used holo professions. CM and Architects have really gotten the shaft same with the entertainer professions

Sorry, but I have to agree that you are likely seeing this one sided. Of the ones I know about in my guild, for instance, there has been one Carbineer, one Musician, one Image Designer, and two Ranger. I have not opened mine on my main character because I have no intention of destroying the template I have worked hard to get to, but my secondary character on another server got a Ranger one. Other people I know have gotten Chef, Pikeman, and a couple of Squad Leaders, among others. In fact, no one I know at all got Rifleman. The only person I have personal knowledge of getting Rifleman was somebody I happened to be passing when he opened one, and he gave out a Woot because it told him Rifleman, and he was already working on Rifleman. I of course was immediately envious, but I congratulated him on his good luck anyway.

So ironically and contrary to your observations, out of all the people I have dealt with, the only person who got a Rifleman holo was somebody who was already working on it.

So, sorry, I cannot see this as any kind of proof that the Devs are using the holos to hurt us.

Yeah, you gotta consider since everyone needs multiple professions and it's different for each person, there's definately going to be an increase in the "easy grind" questions. It's in swordsman, musicians, rangers, everything. Every profession is getting hit by it because everyone has to switch off at some point.

Go figure, this is what happens when a holo craze hits and everyone wants uber l33t jedi slots. Don't get me wrong, I'd enjoy being a jedi, but the whole thing sort of kills roleplay and the actual doing of professions for build up of a good character.

Opened first holocron and it mentioned that i need to master rifleman to continue on my enlightened path .. which i thought great it beats sitting on a mountain for 20hours contemplating my naval .. so ok i needed a change (have been architect, carbineer, doctor& merchant) .. and i have experienced a loss of direction .. so what the hell i had only around 900 rifle xp in marksman so here goes shooting things from a further distance than normal..

Woooot ... To hell with the rest of the enlightened path ... I've reached nirvana .... currently novice 0-2-0-1 and im really enjoying it so far.

But i would also like to add im a part of RBEU on the eclipse server and out of almost 100 members im the 2nd i know of that their holocron said Rifleman (The other guy wasnt far off mastering anyway)... So don't let the Holo madness get you down.. Enjoy having mastered a real fun& kick ass combat class, i understand that this class hasn't always been fun .. but good for you for sticking with it and i don't blame you for wanting to defend its honour
