I haven't touched my bowcaster since I got laser rifle certification, but lately I've been wondering: Have any high-level (wookie) riflemen found a use for these weapons? I can't even find any weaponsmiths who make them anymore, so I have no idea what the best ones on my server (Ahazi) look like. Any comments?

Yeah they aren't all that fantastic, I bought a couple just for the Wookiee look

But Weaponsmith was my Holo Profession so whenever I feel like mastering it( which wont be anytime soon, really can't be bothered, I got a free Holo so I used it I want to try to build the "Ultimate" Bowcaster. Or at least try..

Mines like

192 - 293 damage @ 6.2 speed.

Cool graphic and sound but the stats suck.

They are good until the laser cert is available!

Everything but the actual stats is good about them tho! the animations/sounds are all really neat but its just not worth the effort really in the long run which is a shame.

I had a few made using some feeders and they would be good guns with at least Light AP or kinetic damage take your pick

I have always had a soft spot for bowcasters and started weaponsmithing as a wookiee solely to manufacture them. I have to say that I have been less than impressed with them, but it had to be held down because it's a certless rifle - I'm hoping they make a new bowcaster schematic, with a rifleman cert requirement. However if you're willing to spend a bit of money and get several of your server's best base bowcasters, and managed to get a solid damage slice, along with a powerup, it's not a shabby weapon.

That being said I have always wanted to make a "super caster". Managed to do so a few days ago.

No kidding! I would use that caster in a heartbeat! I want one on Ahazi! Is that a krayt caster or what?

ummm... no.

the laser cert is in the marksman tree, at which time you have lousy rifle speed. therefore, a bowcaster at that level will shoot specials every 9 secs or so.

stick with dlt20's, etc.

you're right though.. it should actually be one of the best rifles out there, to make up for only wookie use. should be fast, too, i think.. maybe 3.5-4.0 spd base.

oh.. i'm not a wook either. just think it would be cool for starwarsiness...

That would be a respecatble bowcaster with AP. I imagine that was nearly impossible to create though.

totaly imposible

that is out of the weaponsmiths control. AP is like the damage tipe it is set by SOE for all of that type of weapon
