i made a second character on gorath the other day and i was in this noob group and we walked by a weapon store and i wanted to see weapon stats on the guns in this server, i saw this big board covered with guns on display all with stocks and scopes now plz someone tell me what is the point of adding a scope or stock and by teh way i had never seen a stockon a gun b4 this i had seen many scopes,

Fairly good question.


For the most part weaponsmiths (I happen to have another char. that is WS), add stocks or (mostly) scopes to add a bit of accuracy to inaccurate weapons with the penalty of adding to the HAM cost. You can experiment the HAM cost down to nothing - HOWEVER - I've noted that even if I get it down to zero it still adds 1 to H/A/M on the final combine.


These are actually pretty useful on things like an LLC/Flame something of this nature. Some you can add a bit of damage as well however, it adds a huge amount to the final HAM costs.

Stock does basically the same thing - only toss in some range modifiers. (No edit) sorry for the Double Post
