I am currently working on my character to make it better for pvp. What i currently am planning is

Master Rifleman

Master Swordsman

TKA 4/0/0/4

Marksman 4/0/0/4

As is will give me +128 ranged defenseand +124 melee defense

Any opinions are apreciated...should i keep as is or make changes.

mega3113,

Rifleman PvP'ers tend to discount bleeds, and I do not question this logic. However, I have noticed on the Swordsmen boards that they tend to tout them more for PvP So it really depends on the strategy and situation. If you are KD'ed and Dizzy, I suspect it is better to at least know that the bleed is runningand still doing damage while you lay there.

But bear in mind that the bleeds are not the only advantage to the class. Swordsman does massive mind damage as well. Its area attacks do posture change down. Additionally, Hit3 and ArreaAttack3 both do dizzy.

The beauty of the combination is that you get to pound the target with Strafe2 or Headshot2/3 as it comes in on you to do melee. Then if it does get in on you, you can continue to do massive damage with either AreaAttack3 (or Hit3 if single) to continue where Strafe2 left off, or you can pound away with Headhit3 to continue where the Headshots left off.

The professions play very similarly. As I have said elsewhere, it feels more like you are grabbing the barrel of your T21 and beating them to death with it rather than that you are switching to another weapon when you pull out the Powerhammer or 2H Curved Sword.

I would not recommend dropping Master Swordsman.

swordsman bleeds, especially mind hit 2, will throw in a good 700+ willpower wounds, so if you wont kill them, you will at least make them sit in a cantina for a long while.

Swordsman are awesome tankers as well, which makes them perfect for close quarters PvP or dealing with AT-STs during PvP.

You might want to consider 4 0 0 0 fencer. That'll add 69 to your ranged and melee defense. I question the Master Swordsman. While stacking bleeds in PvE is a great perk it's useless in PvP. You could probably spread those points around to maximize your defenses.

I'm working on:

master rifle

pistol 0040

fencing 4440

marksman 4401

medic 2000

scout 3000

Huge state defense protection(+100 vs Dizzy), and pretty good ranged and melee defenses. I'd like to squeeze in TKA for Powerboost/FoW or see if block stacking is any good, but I'm going with the above for now. Yes, I'm old-fashioned and like my Exploration III.

You might want to check out fencing or pikeman(block stacking) since swordsman doesn't have a whole lot of defense.
