I was wondering, is there a way to run(hit autorun), and then turn your view around so that you are looking BEHIND you while running?

I've been hosed in pvp before when i had a tka chasing me along with some npc pets. I had to slow down to look behind me(to target the tka), and by that time he caught up and kd2(of course).

Is there a way to totally disable the mouselook temporarily?

thanks!

I have not found a way, but I do recall some options with regard to mouse look. You might want to check what they do.

I use the overhead map to see behind me, but my problem lies in targetting a specific person behind without slowing down.

try pressing escape, if they have hit you, it will untarget and possibly pick another, i think.

If you're being chased by a player, andyou know who it is, then/target <targetname> should work. If a groupmate is targeting them, /assist with groupmate targeted or /assist <groupmatename> should work. Hope that helps a little..

On second thought, that may be /ui action target <target> or /ui action selectTarget <target>.. I'm at work, can't try it ATM.

If you hold down the zero key on the keypad of your keyboard and pan around with your mouse, you should be able to control the camera while still moving in the same direction you are running in. Can't remember if chase cam needs to be on or off for this to work. Toggle chase cam with the period key on the keypad.

Hope that helps.

hmm...

if i'm kiting, i've always just started running then pull a fast one-eighty with the mouse/keyboard.

just spinyour mouse so you're facing backwards and hit the down arrow at the same time (so you keep running in the same direction)...

works for me

Yeah.. there's an option in that section that turns on an "EQ" style mouselook. It allows you torotate the camera to your target and then you can run around ( even away from your target ) without losing view of it. The only problem is you have to use your cursor keys to move around.

It took a bit of getting used to, but does come in handy when things get hairy, or you have a Ancient Canyon Krayt Dragon thundering towards you.. hehe!

I just can't for the life of me think of the Exact Tab it's in..
