Thread: Problem with Flushing Shot 2

Pretty short and to the point...

I "hit" multiple mobs... i.e. damage numbers go above their heads, but no real damage is done to any of them but the one I'm targeting. Kinda defeats the purpose of having an AOE attack.

What gives?

Hmm, I've had no problems with FS2 (went hunting earlier today).

If you're getting "FLOATIES" (the #'s above their heads) then you're doing damage to them.

I find the opposite of you think you have is the norm, I hit guys I'm NOT targeting harder......lol.

I know it sounds wierd... but I'll set up a situation.

Have two huurton huntresses out, and their lair.

Target the huurton thats roughly in the middle, start spamming flushingshot2. Combat spam looks like this...

You use Flushing Volley on a huurton huntress for 2000 damage!
You use Flushing Volley on a huurton huntress for 1500 damage!
You shoot at a huurton huntress lair for 2500 damage!

What I see on my screen, is no damage going above the lair. Thats fine, used to that from spin attacks from TKA. I see damage indicators floating above both huurtons. I see + Right Leg Hit +, + Stunned +, and whatever the damage is. I see no HAM bars on the huurton I'm not targeting. HAM bars on the huurton I am targeting go down.

On the 4th shot, they aggro. I can now see both HAM bars. The one I didn't target has no HAM missing. If I get a shot off before they get to me, when I can see both HAM bars (when they are both aggroing me), I can hit, and do actual damage to both of them.

I've seen the same problem when the collateral pets aren't aggroed on anything. That may be how they've decided to keep you from damaging the lair (checking for combat status of surrounding mobs?) and inadvertantly drawing a load of creatures out at once, but I thinkit's something else, since the other AoE's sometimes damage the others. At least I think they do...crap, now i have to check that too

It's probably a bug but all AoE attacks seem to work this way. You don't actually damage a target unless it's engaged in combat with you. In PvP you do actually damage everyone in the cone area, though.
