Well them new non-buff foods better be pretty spectacular, because it's gonna be musicians, dancers, and doctors for my stat buffs.

Never going back to the spice, downtimessuck too much.

They've changed the way food works. You probably aren't going to like it much. In the new system the length of the buff has increased. So you can get ones that last 20 minutes or more. However the amount of the increase has been cut. So instead of say +500 you get +40.

You now have 100 "points" to your stomach. Each food/drink has a filling rating. So if something is 11 filling you can take 9.

But here is the kicker. It will now take one hour for the filling to run out. So if you take something with a twenty minute buff. It will take another forty minutes for it to clear out of your system. So downtime has been dramaticly increased.

The resource requirement also appear to have been increased. Mostly thru the use of containers. For example a small container uses ten gems. While a large requires one hundred. Yet the large only hold two more than the small.

If you are familar with crafting you will also notice that adding all these subcomponents will not only increase costs and resources, but time. To make a factory run of item A. You will have to make a factory run of containers first. Then put those into the food factory to make the run of food. The BE additives will be the same way. To use them they will have to get the BE to make a factory run, then include them in the schematic for the food factory run.

So expect an increase in food prices. They will require more time and resources yet appear to be less effective.

OMG

This is way up there on the suck meter. Go ahead and make chefs less important. Sounds like if your numbers are not extremly under-exagerated for the decrease in food potency. And a increase in price to boot. **edit**, just ouch, poor chefs.

But think of the Imperial STs as the police officers and the Imp players as high class citizens or as armed forces and the rebels as outlaws. The police will come check the citizens or armed forces and will loose all respect for them (demoting and loosing all FP) but if you are an outlaw you will be killed. To me it makes sence.

I'm sorry but, I'm excited about the Imperial Crackdown. Spice is "illegal" I think it will add new flavor to the game.

I totally unimpressed with the feedback I have seen on the Imperial Crackdown. Basically for me as a Rodian Rifleman in service to the emperor (currently ranked Colonel) I will ...

Loose upto 35% of my damage potential as I wont be able to use sliced weaponry.

Loose my ability to wear decent armour when not buffed as Rodians cant wear a full suit of composite unless it is sliced.

Loose my abliity to use spices which means I will have to reduce my style usage.

Feedback on the chef changes seem to indicate that I will actually be worse off when using the new foods than my current favourites of BoH, Fishak and Vercupti.

Basically, it looks like I am going to be forced out of PvP unless I join the rebellion as this crackdown seems to have a far worse effect on Imperials.

Anyway, a lot of the postings on the TC forum arent conclusive, so Klawlegna can you please get a complete list of what is and isnt allowed for each side under the new Imperial Crackdown rules?

So far, every change in the game i have experienced has been to the better. It always SOUNDS horrible, but ends up being ok. I rely on spice, food, and buffs to do missions, or even pvp, so it SEEMS like a crappy thing to do.. Im sure it fits into the GRAND scheme of things, the vision Lucas and crew wanted for the game. It has been said before, that the game isnt finished, like a console plug and play game. I believe it now, its constantly changing to fit the VISION. I feel we need to understand that this game will never BE finished. YOU CANT FINISH IT AND ARENT SUPPOSED TO. You live the experience, and come what may, even if it changes your gameplay 100%, live the experience, control your destiny in game. Whatever nerfs come, so be it. I still hate it, mind you, but it is what it is.
