Thread: I love Jawa Rifles!!!
Actually on my Sunrunner server non-Krayt Jawas go as high as 295 max damage (no power up), remember people kept asking me "what a heck is that in your hands?"
With the relatively low damage and light armor piercing on the jawa, you'd do more damage in PVE with a laser or T21 unless the target has 50+ energy resist, and most stuff with resists that high has medium armor, stun resists, or both.

Apparently you missed the part where I said my comment was FOR PVE. PLAYER VERSUS ENVIRONMENT. NOT PVP.
If you are vulnerable to a damage type, attackers do not get the bonus damage from armor piercing that they normally do if they have more armor piercing than you have armor.
In PVE, if you shoot something that is not energy vulnerable and not energy-resistant you will do an extra 56% damage with a laser rifle and 95% extra damage with a T21. If you shoot something that is energy vulnerable, you get NO bonus damage.
If your armor is the same level as the weapon or if you are vulnerable to the damage type, it doesno bonusdamage. If the weapon is one level higher, it does 25% more. Two levels = 56%, three levels = 95%. If your armor is one level higher than the weapon, it does half normal damage. Two levels = 1/4, three levels = 1/8.
If you are vulnerable to stun, then jawa gets no bonus damage because of the vulnerability bug. If you have 4% stun resist composite, then jawa also gets no bonus damage because it's the same level as your armor (light armor vs light armor piercing).
Stun-layered composite IS good against tangle pistols and stun batons. If stun vulnerable, these weapons do normal damage to you. If not vulnerable, they only do half normal damage.
