If you did most of the damage with bleeds (which dont count at all towards looting rights) then yeah someone dealing direct damage will outdamage you.

here is how its done... not even bringing he AR3 the dragon as into it...

13 ppl, looks like one master and thats CH... giant has 80% resist or better to everthing (cept cold)... i've scrolled through the combat tab while hunting with a group before...

on average with a decent damage t-21 with WPU i'll average 3-5k per shot (SS2) in the combat window (floaty damage of 600-1000)... i'm also master marksman so i hit the 1 sec cap...

while a pistol on the otherhand with fanshot2 can average around 2000kper seccombat window (floaty damage of 400)

ok now that the base stats are done for the resistances rifleman AP3vAR3= 1.0 modifier so 600-1000 floaty damage.... pistol AP1vAR3= 0.5 modifier is 200 floaty damage...

but it also seems that people like to target the health pool... stacking bleeds and burns (no damage counts for those) and then firing healths shots where the floaty damage is lucky to be 75 per shot...

this is where your rifleman plays in... was he fully buffed on food/drink/spice to be able to spam SS2 at te one sec cap, and did he???? if not then thats how you got out damaged.... for everytime he laid a stacked a couple of bleeds thats 2 sec that don't count for any damage... for everytime you had to stop and heal yourself or a pet that damage that doesn't count... for an incap or death thats at least 15-60 secs that doesn't count for damage...

here is an example on how a rifleman can outdamage a group of 15 without a rifleman or commando.... have them fire their as many specials as they want while you target just them mind... see how much different that is, and thats not even our strongest shot...

ps. if you want more accurate info provide all of your groups combat professions, the weapons used, ect... then i can do more that make broad assumptions...

it doesnt surprise me in the least tho. i can take out an enraged rancor lair solo in about 2 minutes. i have watched groups of 20 get completely trashed and still not finish the mission. it depends more on your group. i have seen groups that could be easily outdamaged and outfought by a dancer with a CDEF pistol...

i think this speaks more to the quality of your group than to the ability of that one person.

no for the end example i was talking about mind bleeds and HS3... thats how i do it teamed up with none combat hunting partner... my advanced straf seem to take down all 3 pools evenly for HAM that high do its slower... if i was going for pure damage it would be advanced strafe hand down... the targeting of the mind seems to work faster when out going for the faster killwithout a commando...

ummm has anyone looked at that last SS??? i have a T21 with better speed and just a little off the 774 max with alot better speed, min damage, and wounds... i thought pre-nerf t21's still had blast damage (could be wrong there)...

off the top of my head ancient krytes ar3 80% res to everything... bleeds and burns don't count towards damage... so the Jonsey (the person looking taking the SS) is a rifleman of some sort, hes qualed for the weapon... but he's also not buffed, which means he either died during the fight and got rezed on the spot ,or cloned and came back (you lose your addition to the group damage if cloned)... either way you lost at least 60 secs of battle time...

or if you stayed alive the whole time and are MRifleman spamming SS2 you either need heal yourself or have someone healing you... i'd also like to see a screenshot of the rifle your rifleman was using (hopeing that its a T21 and he is Master)

if you ever watch other groups kill a kryte with a comando or two but no rifleman, you will notice that the Health bar of the HAM is usually 2/3rds black before it dies... and i'll bet at least half of what was left was takin by stacking bleeds...

i know how to kill these dragons... i'm out near the graveyard everyday... if i'm not in a group i'll watch how others do it (i don't shoot unless i'm asked to help, kill stealing is wrong)... i also don't use the exploites out there or run into a near by house... if all goes well a canyon takes me roughly 1000secs to kill, or the duration of my focus food to drop (422s), pop a muon, 100s later my drink drops, take more food. then hope the dragon dies before my downer hits. this is all with mind attacks, SS2 takes alot longer with the random pool hits...

juvy takes around 3 mins tops to kill unbuffed, unarmored, and just me and my pets... pop a pixie, eat/drink, send in pets, span SS2/or MS3 with stacked bleeds (the kill time is about even for these ways)... then get the loot/harvest and find someplace safe before i have 1 health from the downer...

a canyon or giant kryte can be killed with justa group of 2 ppl (i haven't seen an ancient in awhile, kinda scared to try it)... thats what my above time frame is with me doing all of the damage...

so if its taking your group longer than the 1000s to kill a canyon krytethen thats how you got out damaged... if the KS'er was smart he was spamming SS2 it does more overall damage than the targeting fo the mindpool...

i kill krytes cause they are the baddest animals in the game, its purely for entertainment value to me... the loots are a nice bonus, but if i'm in a big group its not worth the headache of trying to get anything. so i sit back and watch, and ask what the loot was...

not to sound cynical but here is the group that makes krytes killable... the commando for the burns, the CH for the tanks, the rifleman for the damge, and the doc/cm that keeps everyone alive... everyone else is just along for the ride...

......

i really know how you feel ....

got outdamaged the other way ....

soloed krayt with flamer alone when i got him down 80% with fire a group of marksmans killed him and got the kill ....

wasnt funny sure but ....

if we all would cry "unfair, nerf nerf and so on"when something like that happens ....

we would have a game where we need 20 ppl to kill a worrt cause ofallthe nerfs...

better ask the rifleman how he have done it and try to get to his lvl instead of whining

Damage isn't everything. There's alot of "prepatch" weapons out there I consider gimp compared to the latest-crafted rifles I'm using.

Ugh, you're a riflemen right? Crying "unfair" hurts us all. The nerf bat has been soft for us so far, but you're going to cry for it against your own profession? If you want a pre-nerf T21 please buy one. If you want a real gun, try to get a legendary drop or buy a legendary drop gun. The guy's gun wasn't your problem - it was good, but not the best. He was a ninja-stealer and should have backed off from your group's kill, but I don't know how to stoppeople like himexept for making sure to do the most damage after you've found your krayt. If you find the game unfair, report it to the dev's, but don't whine to us, we're not going to be very sympathetic. I'm guessing that if you were the one wielding a legendary or awesome pre-nerf T21 you wouldn't have written this post.

Yeah content of your group is also very important, I and 2 other guildmates (all strong pvp characters) nearly always get to keep the Krayt, happens all the time actually, some 10-15 player gay-disco group ends up accusing us of cheating, but in reality they all suck and dont know that they're doing.

Hold on a second, I tough the purpose of an mmorpg was to play with other peoples... If the game will have it so that 1 person can do just as good as a whole group then I say better go play some BF1942 then because its much more fun , and FREE.
