Boy i didn't realize you guys have such a hard time with groups. My Pa mates talked about this and we know what to do and not to do in battles in PvE. And when we bring along someone outside our group the first time they screw up we politely tell them to stop. They do it again we slap them upside the head and tell them to stop. The third time I take them behind the woodshed and wear them out.

Finding a group on your own is hard. But when you got a good group together it makes this game a whole lot more fun. I hate soloing it gets boring quick. And it is so much easier to aoe shoot things when your guildmates are absorbing the damage. I try not to get buffed anymore before heading out hunting. It isn't economical for me.

Yeah i think im going to miss the 1000 pt mind bleeds but its not going to ruin the game for me. Now if you want to bleed minds just go combat medic. You'll have greater range, better aoe, and the ability to heal yourself and others. My predicition: CM/Rifleman will be the new FOTM. hit them at 80m with a mind bleed for 800 mind damage a tick, and then use hs3 or hs2 once or twice when the target finally gets within your rifle range. (Don't you wish you could shoot as far as they can throw, Order put in at your local BioEng stor "I want one Combat medic arm attached to my rifle please.")

Have fun dont get too upset though this is still a fun profession especially when your group mates start complaining, "Will you stop shooting, your taking all my xp". Do it and don't shoot their next target until it incaps them all then stroll in, go prone, and finish it off. You still get the xp and they realize that your needed. And you can laugh the rest of the night as they wonder whether or not your going to let them live or die in the next fight.

I am a CM/Rifleman (although only 4,0,3,3 rifleman atm) and CM kinda got jacked too a few days back. Mind poisons steal exp from you. Used to get more combat exp for it which was good for fillin that last column. From what I could tell, Disease still gives you the combat exp, poisons just make the exp go to the ether. Nobody gets anything for it. So it's good for item hunting. I'm droppin CM in favor of Ch this morning.

I'd like to poke my head in here for a sec if you dont mind...former Master Sharphooter and all.

I feel your pain. I hung my beloved Pre-Nerf T21 in a place of honor a long time ago, and trudged down the path of death and destruction that was commando. I had a great time. More fun even, than I had as a rifleman. Today, I hung-up my FT and dusted-off my trusty old T21. I don't have the sheer initial damage of a commando any more, but I have regained some options regarding damage-type....and I can sure as hell shoot alot faster. Thank God for banked xp.

Even stunned as I was by the massive nerf to the flame DOT, I wasamazed by how hard the rifle bleeds have been hit as well.

Bleeds are simply worthless now. Even if you had a group of 20 players each applying a mind bleed.....pathetic.

Im not sure what SOE is trying to do with this game. The first fool that wanders in and says it's a "balance issue" is gonna get a look down the business-end of my good ole T21.

They so royally SC.REWED the game design up initially, that now everyone is just disgusted.

I dont want to be forced to group, and dammit, I'll find away to solo-kill the big mobs whatever they do. That's half the reason I became a rifleman in the first place. I like to be alone, out in the boonies, just me and my rifle.

Anyway, it's just my two-cents. It's nice to be back.

This change:

- Reduced XP gain when using bleeds (not-personally confirmed, but seems to be the case)

- Eliminated the ability to single pull with bleeds,

- Drastically reduced the damage done by bleeds.

- Eliminated the bleed-assisted XP gain for other weapons.

- Destroyed the ability to solo decent size creatures/npcsfor lower level riflemen.

- Increased the mind drain because different, higher cost specials must be used now to take down anything before it takes you down.

- A solo rifleman without a pet is going to die a lot more often.

Just saying that resists apply to bleeds now, is a gross understatement of the actual changes. Since these changes are going to be become the defacto baseline for the combat revamp, don't hold your breath on getting any of the old ability back.

Is this true? i have still been able to pull single mobs with bleeds, as nerfed as they are.

I tried it an failed to pull a single. I will try again, as this is great news if it isn't.

Yeah, they just want to force people to group more. I guess they don't play enough to know that grouping sucks in this game 98% of the time. Maybe someday someone will make a good game that doesn't punish the soloist.

i like to solo, but this is a MMORPG, i can go play a single player game if i want to solo.

Anyway tested mindshot 1 - 2 against sharniffs with mask scent = no agro until bleed starts ticking, you have to make sure you dont snap of a normal attack after the bleed, and at master its sometimes hard to peace before the normal shot. But the bleed with mask scent still works, i have tried it on 12 sharniffs and non of them attaked untill the bleed started to kick in.

No offense intented but I really wish people would stop assuming that MMORPG means you HAVE to group and interact with other players. Massive Mutliplayer does not imply you have to group it is refering to muliple players playing the same game online. Remember that for all intense purposes this is a role playing game (the RPG part) which means that I should be able to do anything I want whether that be group or soloand I most certainly should not be punished for chosing either role.
