Special Forces, with that weapon, Strafe Shot 2, makes HS3 obsolete, you will be doing 800-1100 damage. Wich is why from a Master Riflemans point of view, I say HS3 you wont be using much. I use HS3 on Combat Medics, and Doctors, when were not DBing so when they get up, they have to regen to heal. It does random damage, but it helps in assistiing others, not only that its AoE.

Yesterday while we raided AH for a 5 hour raid, then went to Coronet. I easily in capped 3 times as many people then the others, simply becuase of Strafe Shot 2 bieng AoE and doing 400-600 damage. Most people I have incapped at once was 6 people. We did no DB rule, becuase we didnt want to get personal TEF zerged, it worked well. We never got whiped, and it was easily 60 to 10. Our number varied from 10-15 from people logging and logging on, one hell of a night.

I use a +32 max damage power up, and Im using a DLT20a, becuase out of all the weapons its the best becuase of low HAM costs.

Im using a DLT20a, do to lack of resources, also, HAM costs. I shoot fast, I could get 10 shots maybe with a T21. We dont DB becuase we like living longer, we dont run in with guns and glory to just kill everything we see and die in 10 minutes. Not one of use died outnumbered 10-1 for 5 hours. Thats why we didnt DB, it keeps them out of combat for 60-100 seconds instead of comnig right back in after cloning.

I saw in one of the posts, perhaps the first post in this thread that you should get the +melee toughness stuff from swords. I was under the impression that none of the +mods were currently working except for +speed. I know for a fact that +block, +counterattack, +KD resist, +posture down, +cover, +rifle crawlspeed, +ranged defense, +melee defense do not work. And I've tested Flushing shots in PvP and they don't seem to stun.

Am I wrong here? Did they stealth fix the +mods? And is anyone getting a stun effect out of Flushing shot? If flushing shot worked I'd hand bounty hunters and KD spammers their lunch: /flush (stun), /flurry (dizzy), /suppress (p.down) using a spraystick and the +speed mods a master gets you better be fast on the draw to get a KD in or game over...

whoa... I'm probably going to sound like an idiot here but I need a clarification: are you saying mindshot I & II stack?

Any thoughts on a rifleman/combat medic combo? thought that would be a cool way to be more useful in groups and supplement ranged mind DoTs. Plus being able to heal much of the damage from carbines and pistols sounds oh so appealing.

the only problem I forsee is that I'll have to chose 2 - 3 trees of rifleman only, if I want master CM. and I'd like to save some points for scout exploration to keep that nice movement bonus. (eventually won't have enough skill points to harvest on my own and stay self sufficient too)

Tips for rifleman to get XP:

Find something large

get within 62 meters

use conceal shot over and over

get massive XP.

If you miss, have a backup plan.

Styp, yes MS 1&2 stack. It's probably the most useful combo we get as lowbie riflemen, and sure to be nerfed as unintended.

Another tip, use Suppression Fire from the marksman support line. I've spent entire evenings without taking any damage at all from mobs by using (max dmg sliced, max dmg/mind cost poweredup laser) MS1, MS2, HS2, swap out to spraystick sliced for speed and deliver a Suppression Fire every 4 shots or so, repeating for misses. The mob never moves.

Expect that nerfed, too.

I like the Suppression shot also. Seems to work much better for me than Warning shot. But why would you expect the Suppression shot nerfed? Seems to be working as intended. (Or is that why, lol)

Well I think thats why knockdown got nerfed in PvE as well as PvP, people were spamming it on the hardest mobs in the game and killing them without getting hit. So if they see riflemen spamming suppression fire on mobs....

I see your point, Seflyn... I was spamming Suppression FIreon Greater Womp Rats last night after MS1 and MS2 and getting 2200 XP and if I kept them far enough away, the only damage I was getting was what I was doing to myself. I don't PvP, so does it work the same there? Because if I let the Womp Rats close enough, they were spitting acid on me fromat least 40 yds. Does this mean that an NPC (or other player) could still nail me even though I'm hitting them with Suppression shots?

good question.
