what are you smoking? rifleman is easily one of the most deadly PVP professions in the game.

So what kind of tactics are you Rifleman using in PVP?

Last night I took the imp dungeon on Naboo and used conceal shot till i got noticed and then mowed down the groups of stormtroopers with SS2 and flurry2. It worked for about 2 hours till I finally hit a moun downer and got incaped and db'd.

I've honestly never used Conceal Shot in a situation when it was actually needed or useful, just a couple times to test it out.

But, that's mostly because I leveled through Rifleman using AE's and now only PvP.

I use it

I use it fairly often in PvE. I was taking out Nightsister aprentices raking in 5000xp. I also usually solo my missions and I'll use it to take out 2 of my Rebel targets with it first before going into full combat.

I haven't qualified for conceal shot yet (going up the sniper tree first), but it does sound nifty. Do you have to be under cover to use it effectively? Prone? At a certain range?

To be perfectly honest, i think conceal is the only shot that we need to solo any creature, given time...

I'm still levelling, and I use conceal all the time. I have been able to take out all kinds of mobs with conceal that I wouldn't have been able to handle otherwise. Muon (or corellian ice cream + fishnak surprise)+ conceal is my main way of grinding XP.

i do the same with a little twist... since my rifleman (2 accounts) is human he has his stats set to 400/400/400 on the healthand action stats, and 1000/1000/1000 on his mind stats... add in a couple ryschate (300-475 strength/quickness/focus for 300-470s) and i shoot any given shot (including headshot3) @ 18 ham with my 74 mind t-21 and can fire it as long as the food buffs last without batting an eye... trying to get ahold of some Breath of Heaven (same thing as ryschate but its a drink) to see if i can get the ham costs down even further... combine this with concealshot and i don't need tanking creatures or buffs for that matter (Doc buffs without the food makes my shots take pure mind... ick)

It's not a skill I use a LOT, however it's a very handy skill to have in certain situations. Great PvE skill and I would miss it if it went. I like the bleed chance thing, smart way of making it harder for people soloing the big mobs.
