Thread: BoH
Okay tme for the master chef to defend this. BoH has some very high requirements. The Aludium PU36 that it needs 6 of takes a lot of odd requirements. We are charging you for a master chef food and one that requires master chef to make. I dont think 100k is right. I havent fiqured out my charge for it yet.
6 PU36's per, each using 40 resources = 240 resources
30 other resources
Total : 270 resources.
Assuming the market cost of resources is 6cpu (which it is on Chimaera) for flora, thats 1620cr in resource costs.
BoH takes ages to make in factories, each aludian takes about 3mins, with BoH taking 3mins (roughly I cant rememebr exactly), so each one takes 21mins of factory time - factories use power (costs cr to buy power) and maint.
I sell my BoH at 2500 per stack, currently 5 uses, thats 500 per use - most smugglers charge that for spice - and BoH has no downer.
So, 62500cr for 125 uses (actually I do a 15% discount oin crates so its less), giving me about 12500cr profit per crate for ~8 hours work, I may aswell sod the crafting & make a combat char.
Please think about the economics of making things like this before complaining about the cost.
I wasn't really complaining about the costs ... you are right when you say I had no idea what something like that should cost, and thats why I posted here, so someone could fill me in on how much it is worth. and i mentioned that there are not many master chefs on chimaera, so I have no means to compare prices there
the complainig you mentioned was just because atm I only use spice and have no clue what it takes to make boh ... and I am sorry if you feel that I was acting behind you back or something.I cannot stress enough that I only use spice and have no experience with food/drinks, so the price seemed a bit steep when I heared it, but now I see it a bit differently thanks to these posts
Spent 4 days sampling (or rather, trying to) mutant rancors, and people expecting you to sell CL70 pets for 20k after 4 days work, kinda gets to you
Unfortunately, food & drink are very slow to make, which increases the prices. As a weponsmith I could make a gun in 30mins that can sell for 25k, but to sell something at 25k as a Chef takes me 6+ hours
Hopefully the new chef rewrite will help here
the firstcrat i ever bought was 80k i thought it was 8k lol (dint look cloues enough lol)
but i meseged him and tould him what hapend and he sed o he wouldint take it back but would give me back40% of my mony
yay so only cost me around 45k i think

In all fairness FG using this example is not really valid. A MWS can make a gun in this amount of time (In all honestly except for a rocket launcher it should not take more than a few miniutes to make)but it can take well over 3 months before they can sell it for 25k (ok the new euro servers are different etc but they will catch up)! this is purely because of the way resources work and no-one wants anything less than the best when it comes to weapons and getting the best resources takes alot of time and effort! I have a backpack that is full of WS resources and now my standard inv is starting to overflow with them plus the various crates invarying amounts littered across my workshop floor!
I understand your point however its just that the example chosen has a few flaws! (I do understand as RL can take days of factory time for a casual smith like myself to make and then ppl balk at payinga hefty price even tho I have not been able to make anything else for an entire week because my factory was busy making RL's)!
