hmm.. i took on multiple Spell Weavers last night and was spamming strafe2, HS3, flushing2 (couldn't get a stun on 'em) flurry2 (couldn't get a dizzy on'em), - everything with a powerd-up T21 (thank god for Musician buffs).
i had my cursor over the Mind bar while doing headshots - that thing did not move AT ALL.
so i dont' know if they've changed something or what - but it wasn't movin. ![]()
the only reason they went down at all was because my cousin had a couple grauls on it, and he was doing kinetic dmg with his stryker (?) pistol.
though my mind bleeds were working on it.
anyways, hehe, totally off topic. i apologize ![]()

I'm working on it. I'll try to post a table of contents later tonight and ask around for volunteers to fill some of the sections. Stupid RL always interferes with my gaming. And then I have to visit all my vendors tonight due to that stupid vendor bug they introduced. But if not tonight, I'll have a starting point up tomorrow.

Ok, I wrote down a draft table of contents. Note that this is a first draft, it may be incomplete, too detailed, wrong or formatted badly. Any input is appreciated. Also, this is not intended to be "my" FAQ. I just try to coordinate a bit so we can come up with something together. I guess most of the info is already here in some form, we just need to clean it up, write some nice explanations around and consolidate it here.
If you want to write a particular section (or just can provide some input), let me know either in this thread, or send a PM to me or to klawlegna. Also, please have a look at this list and let me know if I am missing anything important. Thanks!
Rifleman FAQ (Guide)
1 Introduction
1.1 Stupid "So you wanna be a Rifleman, heh?" quote
1.2 Rifleman overview (What a Rifleman is, what it is not, strengths, weaknesses. List stuff like what we are good at, what we are bad at, that leveling will be slower than in other professions, that full potential is only revealed at Master level)

2 Combat Basics
2.1 Damage (combat chat, floating damage, 1.5 mutiplier, specials)
2.2 Armor (resistances, AP, etc. NOT what armor to wear for a rifleman, juat how it affects combat damage)
2.3 HAM costs (how this works, effects of focus/willpower)
2.4 Accuracy (how it's calculated, bonuses, etc)
2.5 Speed (how speed will be affected by specials)
2.6 States (what the states mean, e.g. stun or blind)
2.7 Area attacks (how to use, what they damage)
2.8 Bugs / Issues (AP vulerabilities)

Two more points i would like to see on the FAQ-List as i think it could be helpfull for novice-RM:
+ Tactics for leveling Rifleman solo
(with pets / especially without pets, as i know it is really hard and there are enough people trying to solo this prof without pets like i did)
[should be in 6. or 9.]
+ List of Creatures
(most famous for easy XPs, wich ones BAF, wich ones are slow, wich ones have special protections, wich ones have nice ressources, etc)
[i think could be in 9.]

Thanks for the feedback guys.
However, I'm pretty pissed about what is going on right now. I won't put much effort into this until some things have cleared up a bit. I will work on it a bit, and if anyone wants to work on a particular section, I will coordinate things. But I want at least an answer to our top 5 issues (even if it is "we do a completely new system somewhen in the next 6 month, so we don't care about the problems you have NOW") and to the AP insanity.
After we get some feedback about whether anything will be fixed or not, then we can decide if it makes sense to still put effort into an FAQ when we will be beta testing a new game anyway for the next months. I don't feel particulary motivated right now, sorry.

You're probably right. I'd hate to see the FAQ go up then watch the entire game transform into something completly different.
