Because Composite armor has nothing to protect it from stun damage.

Ion rifle has stun damage.

Krayts are also vulnerable to stun....

Krayts resists stun 60%.. just liek teh rest, or higher, depending on teh dmg...

They are weak to cold... try again...

Jawa Rocks, but not against krayts... I have a [email protected] jawa rifle, dmg sliced, dmg modded, hits pretty hard, 2 shots and its over in PVP... in PVE T21 out does any of the weapons b/c of avg damage ability is better than a laser and the armor piercing usually beats out all protects but special...

So, get a a jawa for PVP, t21 for PVE and your set...

You were killed by a Teras Kasi Master because they have the highest ranged defense in game. You will miss more shots than anything and they will run towards you and your basically dead. Since its a moving target its hard to aim for them.

Yeah sorry TKM can take alot of beating, dueled a buddy of mine after he Powerboosted (PBed) Using my T-21 (he had no armor) I can't cut him down fast enough to stop him from getting to me, mind you we were dueling in the starport, so no way I can really run. That extra HAM is enough to keep us from dropping them. He countered one shot to his head while he ran at me, which might had been the difference.

I'm a master riflemen, was firing a T-21 with 400+ dmg, can't say what off the top my head.

In my experience, mind you it is limited but it works for me. For one on one, spam HS3 or 2. For a group, SS2 all the way. I cut down three guys, and 3 pets with this, they messed me up some but I couldn't get the DB, a TKM behind me saw to that. Lot of red dots, dodging 3 AT-STs, running over a hill, lot of gun fire.. you miss things like that. Ah well, I got 4 earlier on the parimeter so I was happy.

If you listen in PvP to some of the leaders they always want people to stay close, just where we want them, by the time they can react to you if you catch them, you got 3 SS2 shots off at master and they are in no shape to repell you.

Wish some Reb SL's will listen to me when I tell them keep a medium spread, we aren't the only ones with AE attacks.

Yes, still here, least physically.

With our new accuracy mods I really don't see the problem. It's obvious to me that as it stands noone is really meant to be using prone or cover in PvP, while kiting is annoying as a melee person, to expect people not to do it is rather silly.

I really don't understand this whole kiting thing, rifle has 2.5x melee damage there is no reason why a sane rifleman would let a TKA run right up to them. If the TKA really wants to use what I consider one of the highest damage wise and most dangerous utility wise set of abilities they can easily enough pick up smuggler.

That's not true anymore, fencers now get more ranged/melee defense than TKA. And their dodge is working. That's one thing you need to consider about TKAs, their defense acuity and CoB are not working at this time. Once they are fixed, you can be sure that they willl get much better, (then again, our block is broken, Says it counterattacsk (in our combat windows, think other people see us block), but it still lets the damage in))

I took my Jawa to a TKM from 35m and droped him. Now I have another problem. I really like to snipe people by myself. All I have been doing for past couple days is taking people out in Bestine. My only problem now is groups. I have the worst **edit**ing luck. I get someone who can KD and another who is TKM,this equals instant death. Any way around this? Do any of you wear armor? If so what do you wear?

I've decided to work my cron profs until the fallout from the combat revamp http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=14605#M14605is complete.

Right now I'm debating between TKM or MFencer to compliment my Master Rifle.

================================================================================I killed 24 people yesterday with my 5.7 sd, 686 dmg, ?/?/51 HAM by sniping people in Bestine. I was only killed 3 times to there 24. Then these dudes wise up and start coming after me. Ever time they attacked me I would get there health half way down. THen I decided to duel this TKM to see if it was just luck. I stayed prone while he was at 60m. This was our agreemant. So i would have ran if i wasnt dueling him but we set it up this way to see what would happen. I spamed SS2 but he reached me before I got that final blow in. So now I will try to find Jawa Ion rifles to see what that will do against armored people. I usually kill people in two to three shots with my laser rifle. So is headshot2 beter than SS2 in PvP?

================================================================================

Let me get this straight, you are complaining about getting killed by a Master TKA in a duel that gave him an avantage of being up close. Plus you stayed prone even when he reached you. I dont understand why you are whining about losing. You did what you are made to do snipe, then he did what he was made to do, get up an personel with your azz.

Go post this on a difernt fourm and watch the flames burn.

He isn't complaining. Read what he said again.

And someone mentioned ranged defense and how that makes such a big difference. Nope. I was a TKM/Duelist (duelist is the melee/ranged d tree of fencer) and I had +143 melee and +119 ranged defense with modded clothes and rings. In PvE I was a ghost, rarely ever getting hit. I tried it out in pvp, and it was a joke. A singing mountain clan huntress would hit me 1 out of 12 shots, but in a fight against another TKM, he hit me every single time. Faught a friend who had no combat skill whatsoever with a cdef at her ideal range, and she hit me as often as the smc huntress did. this has lead me to believe that melee and ranged defense either don't work at all, or aren't working like they are supposed to be in pvp.

On the otherhand, dodge is working, and very well I might add. Good luck hitting a pistoleer/fencer with their 200 dodge lol

Man, after reading this thread, I'm inclined to start pvp-ing agian (translation, i feel like giving away fp to the imps on my server)
