gotta research the skill first to find out how the powergamers do it then emulate that after sifting out the 80% BS that is found in most how-to posts.

pre-vehicle/mount patchs one could make about 60-70k weapons XP an hour now it is upwards of 100k an hour i would assume. this is by doing it solo and running piket missions off of dantooine and killing everything in between lairs. this does require some sort of tank so having CH ability is almost a must.

the unfortunate truth to grinding combat skills fast is have someone or something else absorb the damage for you. grinding skills is all about methodolgy in how you go about it. the more time you spend healing yourself the less time you spend dealing damage.

a rifleman needs 3,675,000 rifle XP to get to 444x. one of the optimal creatures to currently kill are pikets and they yield an average of 3,800 xp. that is roughly 967 pikets to kill. each one has about 8000 ham. that is roughly 7.7 million damage that has to be dealt out. now knowing this you can do the damage one creature ata time having to deal out the entire 7.7 million XP or get a few levels of CH and reduce that time factor by 3 since a pet normally tanks 3 creatures at a time and an AOE attack can deal damage to 3 at once or more.

the key to doing anything quickly in a mmorpg is to find things that enhance your ability to cut the time sink down. the developers design the systems to prevent rapid progression to keep the players in game longer. so anything you can do to decrease that time is what will benefit you to achieveing master status faster. and often times that requires some serious evaluations of what is taking you the longest time and reducing that expenditure of effort.
