Thread: Wookies: BowCaster
Why can only Wookies use these? how lame is that? a Race specific gun!!?? because Chewbacca had one in the movie? These people need to smoke a little more weed and free their minds, they are confined by the intergalaxtic box committee.
Smugglers should be able to use light sabers, but only against dead Taun-Tauns, since Han Solo cut one open in the Empire Strikes Back.
Why can any race ride a speeder bike, it should only be limited to Ewoks, and Humans, right? Since only they rode them in the movies.
Anyway, the one i looted from a Rancor was useless. Speed like 7 and max Damage like 180. Terrible, also i couldn't equip it, so i dropped it for the carrion birds to pick up, they had more use for it than i did.
That bowcaster stats suck. Mine:
180-340(22% damage slice)
5.2 speed.

Heh...old thread but since it's new again....
Mylo...settle down...smoke some of that pot you were talking about. Here the skinny of the Bowcaster, not from the movies but from the books. The Bowcaster is a right of passage for wookies. Now the movies didn't explain this but the fact that Chewy used a bowcaster would let others know that he is a highly respected wookie bad ass.
The Bowcaster is pretty much just an rp tool, since it is not that great of a weapon. Sure they look cool, and for that perk it is a species specific weapon. A fair trade off, looks for usability,I don't know. If the game was changed so that the Caster really had the power of a rail gun, I think you would see more of them.
Personally I worked my way up to weaponsmith so that I could make my caster, then dropped the class. I've been on since day 1 and I've really only seen a handful of casters that were worth using. Mine hangs on the wall of my house.
