Having a 40-45% stun layer when everything else is 90% is still a weakness. I'll agree with you when someone hits 60-70% on their stun layers.

I just bought stun layered armour from a smithy whos'e only 1 short of experimentation points - using very good resources he got a 36% stun layer and that lowered the base resists from 68-69% to 61% - with amazing resources this could be better...and also silly money

I have no idea where this 90% armour is coming from - my Kinetic armour has some 90% kinetc and about 80% on the others - but thats due to the slice, these values (to my knowledge) aren't acheivable on a set maxed on stun...

If they are I'd like to know where from so i can get a set

They adapted to us spamming HS3 with a Jawa, now we must aswell.

Just remember this though, as mentioned earlier, Stun layers are heavy. Almost everyone has to be buffed to wear armor like that, so while tough to take them down, once dead, unless they have a Doctor on hand at that moment, or are a Doctor, they'll be coming back into the battle with some 66/55% composite with no stun protection.

I disgree..... I think its really cool that an armorsmith can take see demand for a specific type of armor and then make some to fill that demand.

If we get a cool weapon like an ion gun there should be a way to counter it.

The max stun layer is 45%. With a slice the base resists can be brought up to close to 90% but you wont have a stun resist of 45 and a base resist of 90... I think they must sacrifice all three layers to get a stun of 45% and that will dramatically reduce the base.

The ham costs on this armor would be very high.

Which is the other half of my point. Give Tantel armor or Chitin the ability to see really high stun results. Why don't people want to do this? Because those armors aren't very good against Energy and Kinetic. I think Padded armor with its decent resists across the boardand the ability to bulk up on Blast is the model for how all armors, including Composite should be.

I agree with undeadrooster here...

Right now the armors are like this: If you have enough inventory space, or don't mind using safety deposit at a bank, the advanced players have a set of Ubese for creature hunting, and a set of high ham/high resistComposite for PvP. Now if your a Master Doc/Anything you can wear the high ham Composite 100% of the time. Add in a stun layer and you've gone from having a weakness to Stun Batons and Jawa Ions, to having a minute weakness to them. The only armor that should come close to this is Mandalorian (not in game yetI know but) at this point however, to be better then Composite it would need to be 100%base to all and say 60% stun. Everyone knows how to get around the Compostie HAM costs nowadays, and since the majority of players feel each armor should have a high strength but a glaring weakness I can only see an inevitable nerf coming.

I just couldn't see being an armorsmith... All you do is make Composite galore, and the occasional suit of Ubese for hunters etc.. or Padded for the players who want a spiffy looking suit of armor.

Composite should be the best easily attainable armor in the game, but there is no need to use any of the other armors in the game (wasted art and coding time if you ask me). At the very least, make it unsliceable or something.

Or maybe cap the resists at 50-60%, which I think removing the slicing would do. I agree that the various armors ARE a waste of artwork and coding at this point... but I think moving to a more offset system of high strengths in one or two areas and high weaknesses in one or two areas would fix this. I like the padded armor as it is, and I even like the Ubese as it is... I think both are perfect examples of how things should stack up. Composite and Adv Composite could sorta be the jack of all trades, master of none.

everyone buff's nowadays, ham cost arent an issue, the devs need to fix this, fully buffed composite wearing fencer/pistoleer can take on 10+ people at a time, ive seen this with my own 2 eyes.
