Thread: WHY ARE THEY STILL CRYING NERF?

I'm a Wookiee Rifleman and all I use to fight in PvP are Doc buffs (if I can get them), a PSG (too bad they still pretty much sux), Breath of Heaven and Corellian Fried Ice Cream (with both BoH and CFIC I spend 0 points of mind). With the items above I was hunting Krayts with my T21 and dealing out almost as much damage as a whole group of people. It was even easier once the CH with use started to chuck some mind poisons at them

As far as weapons go I have a PvP only tool bar and it has a T21, Laser Rifle and a Jawa Ion on it. Works out rather well in deed.

Because we have the tactical advantage in PvP. We can attack the unhealable mind pool. We're not as good at it as Combat Medics, but we're the next best thing in PvP for right now.

They're upset because Doctor buffs have made it so that most PvP is decided by the Mindpool.

riflemen dont need a nerf.. just get a 85%+ helm.. the only thing that needs a nerfing is the freaking jawa... its only like the highest dmg stun weapon w/ ap1... its pretty retarded how easy it is to get it over 500 dmg... and yes ive tried using psg's and stun helms.. doesnt really help.. -.-.. i get about 3.2k mind from pb, bivoli, fishak, and muon.. but even that goes down like nothing against a jawa.. -.-

Rifleman, pure rifleman, no buffs, no spices, no other professions, just rifleman are NOT, by ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION, 1/10th as powerful as people say they are.

Master rifleman, most smart master rifleman master other professions, get doc buffs and use spice, some even wear armor as well. THAT is why the people are so uber, take any master profession under those circumstances and they'd be godly.

Better pull yer boots up high because the sh.1t is getting thick. You know that a stacked defense rifleman can pretty much just own anything. I am a master bounty hunter using max XP in pistoleer, had some really lucky buffs all over 2.5k and I ate mind food, drank a mind drink and took some muon. Yea, I was gonna go have some fun in bestine overt. So here comes a master sharpshooter. I get absolutely ZERO hits in on him. Everything said miss! I was at my ideal distance, and prone, and /aim and nothing stuck. So ok, I decided to go heal and do it all again, same thing. All you defense stackers know that even elite hybrid professions cannot hit you even if they /aim first and are at their ideal distance from you. So when the nerfs come, I will laugh in the riflemans defense stackers (carebears) face.

Those highend stackers require a two man team; no more, no less. Here's what I did with a buddy( Master Fencer )and we wind up winning against super stackers90% of the time...

Have a friend with you that's an elite melee have them slap an intimidate on that happy dabbler ass first, and presto, no more dodge, counterattack, or block. At that point, THEN you go...

/aim, /flushingshot2 [ the stunned state effect causestheir ranged/melee defenses to start having heart palpitations ] And yes, I knowFlushingshot2 isa rifleman onlyshot, but I'm just talking about what works for me.

After that, they're dead meat....super stacked defenses usually become a mental crutch for the people who use them. People start to think of themselves as invulnerable and they throw smart tactics right out the window.

See? Even you said it. These stackers require a two man team, nothing more nothing less. If I do what you say, I am asking another godlike profession, namely a TKA/Doc to come with me and help kill a master sharpshooter. I am a master bounty hunter. A master vs. master of any profession should be a good battle, and not as lopsided as it is now.

they need to curve the high end numbers (and enhance the middle and low). It's such a simple solution, allow defense stacking but blunt the extreme ends, making a defense of 100 significantly less effective than 150, but making 150 not too different from 200.

and then publish the curves used.

why are they so secretive about game mechanics anyway? is that supposed to be part of the game?

Stacking is getting fixed, so most of the argument is moot.

And I hate to break it to you BHers. Eyeshot is more effective than head shot. Less mind cost, and it blinds. Easily superior to HS2 or 3. I was a Master Rifleman with NO other combat skills for a good while. Andduring I coulddo fair1v1, but BHers always took me out, and that was fine... they do have to spend alot of points to get those skills. Problem is, blind a rifleman, and the damage/accuracy benefits we have are virtually nonexistant.

You mean tactics actually work?

I wish more people were like this poster. Instead of crying for nerfs he/she figured out a counter. What a novel concept. Using your brain instead of your typing fingers to improve yourself.

So why is everyone crying nerf rifleman?

Because when accompanied by combat medics throwing out poison at PvE damage levels...as I experienced today...riflemen get to deliver many of the finishing headshots despite the fact that they didn't do half the mind damage. I guess sometimes people like to blame the ones who DB, forgetting that the DBer didn't necessarily do most of the damage

I have a bad feeling about this nerf
