If the major reduction in bleed damage is on purpose. Bleeds are about worthless now. Sorry, but a 300 point tick every 20 seconds against a 12k HAM creature won't cut it.

From what I understand Bleeds have been Nerfed. However now multiple people can now stack bleeds on Mobs. I am at work atm and so cannot verify.

The new combat,ham,weapon balance will probably change all this again. We've been speaking about it off and on and several threads are up regarding bleeds. It has hit all professions, we'll have to give it time and see what comes with the new balances.

It doesn't do 1/3 the damage, the tick is 20% of the damage of the shot used on your target.

So yes you guys, and swordsman got royally screwed.

you hit the nail on the head... this has nothing to do with bleeds.... they just dont want anyone to solo anymore... so take away what every profession used via solo... ( aka.. bleeds.. ) you cant bleed something you cant solo it... unless you dontmind running around for 30 min on hand...


and to tell you the truth... not everyone likes to be in groups... i dont.. i like to depend on me... today for example ... hunting with a guild mate.. he's pistols.. doing snorbals... he runs in shoting each and everyone... to make a long story short... he got both of use killed..


when i hunt alone... i dont die... this BS has to stop.....


let me see anyone solo a krayt now....... or any dark jedi masters... gonna need a group of about 10 people to do it now...


and good luck on getting the loot.... things are going to get alot nasty now that people have to share that uber money making prize.....


game is really starting to suck major a$$...... just my 2 cents.....

okay, did some tests this morning, and the one thing that SOE made clear was that beelds dont stack..BZZT that is the wrong answer in fact they stack just fine, i can stake a MS1, a MS2 and a mindhit1 from swordsman just fine it seems, it isnt worth the hassle of using the mindhit though due to its inital high mind cost. the only person it would now helpout is a newbie rifleman trying to kill anything under 3k ham.

They announced they would be doing this. The DOT damage for all bleeds and flames are being reduced to prevent people from bleeding mobs, getting on a bike, and kiting around until it dies or the bleed needs to be re-applied.


Essentially you could still do this but it's no longer verytime effective. To compensate the damage on attacks was supposed to be upped a bit to ensure people fight by actually shooting/ slashing rather than bleed and kite.

Heh, I got a few kills that way thanks to a badly timed downer. It was kinda fun actually, conga line of death

since the bleed attacks now do weapon damage when they hit it also removes the exploit allowing you to turn bleeds into other forms of XP. with stacked bleeds and bleeds under the old rules you were able to bleed several rancors then ride/run off. come back and it hit iwth a different weapon and it converted the entire load of XP into whatever other weapon XP you needed.

granted ticks for 300 damage suck and pretty much makes the mindshots useless now. no point to it.

Yep this definatly sucks...


Sure remove same HAM Bar stacking (i.e. mindshot 1 and 2), I have no problem with. But we all get nerfed because a few of the players out there solo the high end Mobs by bleeding and kiting. Classic example of a minor problem, and the solution effecting the fun for all.


At least I won't bleed to death in PvP, but then again I will die more and still continue to decay from it in non-factional PvE.


This has got to be the biggest nerf yet, as it effects all the bleedable ability combat professions. /sarcasm GREAT JOB on this one DEVs /sarcasm off

actully you will if you get hit by a combat medic, thier dots didnt get nurfed.
