Thread: What is being nerfed in RiFLEMAN?

Here are some questions i have listed so it can be easily answered...
1. Is it too good to be true or are those cheap combat templates finally being removed. It makes pvp very unballanced and some people unhittable or unkillable.
Its true. Part of the combat balance will remove all of these unbalances.

and I noticed you're a def. stacker, Although I consider it a legitimate tactic, I also consider it cheap.
Come on man, it's not cheap... It's not C-H-E-A-P at all, in fact it's dang expensive skillpoint wise. I'm betting Jeisyn doesn't have any SP's left after building that template. Defense Stacking is also one of the only ways a Wookiee like myself can be formidable in PVP and in some cases PVE, once it's changed / gone who knows what it will be like, god forbid, I might have to take up Creature Handling again.
I don't think it's cheap at all, it just needs to be tweaked with a Soft Cap of some sort.. Balanced and instead of stopped completely, I guess we are just going to have to wait and see. eh?

ok let me try:
1 it is cheap, equivilant to runing around with the awp in cs
2 i dont' care if your a wookie thats a separate issue
3 everyone has used all their skill points accually its prety cheap, try commando or bh thats a lot of skill points for no defencive stats
So if you want to be a master of both a ranged and melee profession, and spend the skillpoints to do it - and you enjoy the benefits of a template like that - you're considered cheap?
seems silly to me.
but, like i said, i won't be crying if/when they nerf stacking, i'll be all smiles. for one thing - it'll make my already-good rifle skills even better in elite pvp combat, as i won't have to resort tousing fancy tactics to hit theother defense stackers, and i'll be able to pickup the meditation line of TK and mb even scout skills. yaaay for us all.

B.H in particular is a bit of a funny Profession, I don't think they were ever Intended for front line Combat. In one on one PVP ( aka Bounty Hunting ) they should be really buff and hard to take down which they are. I mean, they don't spend as many Skill points in pure combat skills as a Dual Elite Template. They have to have Master Scout ( 77 SP's ) and the Investigation line ( 14 SP's ) for a total of maybe 126 Skill points spent on Combat related Skills from Marksman and the other BH skills. A Rifleman / TKA for example spends 198 Skill points on those two professions with Ranged Support 1-4 from Marksman.B.H could probably do with a bit more defense but I think they have plenty of offence for their purpose in the game.
Commando's on the other hand definitely need some better weapons, the only one they have that is useful is the Flame Thrower, which is an awesome weapon. Though after the Chef Patch comes in you can take food to counter the Flame DOT's.
Everyones not trying to be "cheap", they are just using the skill system as it was designed to be used. It's not their fault if there are fundamental design flaws in the current skill stacking system. So you can label me as being "Cheap" if you want but I'm just playing the game as it is now, everyone wants an advantage in combat or Crafting. Whether it be better Defense, Uber Weapons, Crafting Experimentation Tapes orCrazy Armor. WhentheCombatchange comes inI'll still be playing allbeit with a different set of tactics if need be, I dont know if I'll change my template or not, it all depends on what will give me the edge.
