I have recently made master rifles not but two days ago so after working up some cash so I could get buffed and all the other stuff I decided to go on a PvP outing. So far I have learned to never PvP unless you are buffed, on drugs, have stuffed yourself full of food and are drunk on mind stimulating beverages. I have also learned that if buffed wearing armor helps a ton. The main thing I found out though is that Combat medics are waaay too powerful. Here I am buffed on drugs having eaten and drunk food and wearing armor everywhere except my head, not to mention with a group of 4.When a Lone combat medic comes along poisons us all at 80m or so and runs, luckily we had someone who could heal it so we gave pursuit.

A commando torches him, I bleed dizzy and stun him, and the others are just firing away and the combat medic is constantly healing himself tossing poisons and diseases and then picking us of with a pistol when our mind is gone and somehow he managed to take us all out while never going below half of any of his HAMs and he wasn't even buffed. Here are people saying rifleman are way overpowered and a Healer can take out a whole group like that.

I was using head shots but I only only get of one or two before all of our minds were poisoned into nothingness.

CM's are dangerous, it sounds like this one also had some skill to supplement his capabilities (skill as a player).

Well..there has to be a weakness somewhere anyway...

yes cm's are strong, but it costs TONS to keep up with your stims and poisons with all the resources they take. Plus it take like 200 somethin skill points to master it, when rifleman take about errrr 90 or so?

CMs aren't any more overpowered than any other combat class capable of targetting the mind pool.

The flaw comes from an unhealable mind pool (except CMs also get a mind heal that causes wounds - only good for a few heals before you need to spend 20 minutes in the cantina).

Now, if he was ALSO a rifleman, then blamo. He will be working your mind pool like no one's business. What happened to the doc that healed yer poisons first off? Was he sitting on his thumbs during the second fight?

No, they shouldn't be able to throw over 64m. A good many people believe the patch that was supposed to limit range ended up only app'ing to the ranged stims, not to the poisons. So, that will change too. At some point.

I encourage you to work on some strategies vs. a combat medic. Once CMs can't throw over 64m, people have potential to resist, etc. - you will be that much more prepared to take them out.

Quitvomiting upnerf cries Shandale_Arlan, it only spawns more uninteligent bullsheit debates.

For one I find your story either:

a) Made up for effect.

b) Overegaterated for effect.

c) Your whole group was full of dancers and you suck.

I'm a rifleman, I hate any bullshiet nerf cries (unless its a cry to ner huan-the-destroyer-of-common-sense)

Go and figure some tactics before you start a nerf whine.

I took a night off from throwing poisons last night and I still got several tells from people I killed calling me an exploiting cm and telling me our days are numbered, people want to believe that the only reason they ever get killed is because of the fact that cm is such a "godlike" class.

If you get poisoned, drop a muon, eat some fishak or breath of heaven and close the distance to the cm, a few hs3s at 4-500 mindpool damage a pop will piss on his parade in a matter of seconds.

I dont know what server your no, but Master riflemen rule the PvP world on Tarquinas. Not to mention if they are rifleman/tkm...then there unstoppable.

maybe he had the sheild generator used to protect the death star in his pocket....who knows.

(...) The main thing I found out though is that Combat medics are waaay too powerful (...)

I have to disagree ... I just happen to be both Master Rifleman & Master Combat Medic, so I guess I have enough competence to judge the issue .

Since I mastered rifleman months ago ... I hardly use poisons & diseases anymore .. unless in mass pvp or if I am outnumbered. I just can kill my victims faster with my rifle. By the way you know whats the DOT on poisons right.. umm using uber poisons I can do 300-500 dmg every 8-10 secs, my rifle does better then that. Also .. befriend a doc.. 1 cure application fixes the poison "problem".

I'm not crying for nerfs, I was just trying to make a point that Rifleman aren't all powerful. And no our group wasn't made up of dancers, One was a blade master, one was a tkm, one was a novice pistoleer and I was a master rifleman.

I understand your point. But trying to take the nerf bat heat off riffleman by throwing it on combat medics (or any other profession) is wrong.
