have you ever done this Tule? I thought elders were 100% resist to energy, cold, and stun, so what weapon did you use? Also, I think it would take 3-4 hours to conceal shot an elder, I've never used conceal shot (ok, once when I first got it, before the BAF mobs were changed to not BAF, and well, yeah, I was a little disappointed with my "conceal" shot), but I thought that if you missed twice the elder would aggro, so you'd have to not miss in the million shots it would take, and probably have to go through 2-3 rifles to do this.
I tried to bleed an elder once and run just for fun, even with 2 1000 bleed ticks, it would've taken a long long time to kill that elder, fortunately for me the elder decided it did not want to be bled for hours so used "Cascade of Hatred" on me, one shot and I was done.
pretty sure it would be impossible to concealshot an elder, as skeletor said. 100% resists to all our dmg's.
ATST's however... i do those all the time. lol
and kept trying HS 3. Finally realized they weren't doing ANYTHING to her, and stopped to /ex her and saw all 100%, and said to myself "you know, Ikaika, you really should have looked at this stuff BEFORE opening fire on these steroid-force-chic's" and then got back to running. When her mind bleed stopped, I figured, well at least THAT shot worked, and MS 2 and MS 1 again. Went back to running around, trying to avoid aggro'ing the other little red mobs. Eventually she died. All excited, I went to go loot her....and nothing! But, darn if that wasn't one of the most educational little fights I've ever had!
Get your bleed and run fun in quickly. There is word that bleeds (and all DOTs) are going to take resists into account soon.
However for now, if they are 100% to everything that we have, they are usually not resistent to kinetic. (Yeah, I know, the Tusken is supposed to be kinetic, but it is not *sigh*). So even if you do not have Brawler skills of any kind, get yourself a Striker Pistol, polish up the T21, tie your running shoes good and tight, then bleed with the T21 and run. Rinse and repeat as necessary. When it gets down to one point of mind, pull out the striker and one shot it. Works great if you keep out of range.
I have not tried this since dropping Pistol in Marksman for Swordsman, but even if you are not certed for it, you only need to do 1 point of mind damage, so even 1 hit should do it.
I could be off to, I was at the spiderclan cave the other day, and there was an elder there, but I don't remember the exact stats.
I thought for sure though the elder didn't have any resists below 80%, but once again, I could be wrong.
lol I love this thread, killing krayts/AT-ST's/nightsister elders all without anything ever attacking you...wow, you guys sure aren't overpowered at all /sarcasm.
And whoever said that a combat medic could kill a nightsister elder lol...you know they do have ranged attacks eh, and they'll blow up your speeder...but let's say we "could' kite one after we put poisons and diseases on it, well, compine our best poisons and diseases together and it may tick for a combined 1500 damage every 6-10 seconds. they have what? 300k HAM? lol, we'd have to be kiting for a few hours, and in that time somehow not get our swoop destroyed right from under us. No, a combat medic can't solo one of these things.
