I've been looking through this board and at various tactics people are using with the rifleman including macros. I just made Master Rifleman yesterday and in PVP I'm obviously at a disadvantage, but in PVE, I'm deadly as he!!. Why am I so deadly in PVE? Concealshot. I worked my way up the skill tree using Flurryshots and strafeshots, but would always get attacked aftera few shots, and then I'd have to run and heal. I don't have a pet, so it's not like I could use it to keep creatures back. Then one day I started playing around with concealshot. OMG this shot is awesome. Top that with being a master ranger, I was in an imp dungeon on naboo last night, I didn't think I'd be able to get very far concidering I'd have to fight up close. I was within 14m of stormtroopers and I was able to use concealshot to kill everyone of them. I was never fired on once. I also went to tatooine and came up on a tusken camp. Killed about 15 tuskens and not one of them ever saw me. The only shot I'm using is concealshot.

So my question is....why aren't you guys using concealshot?

And if you're a rifleman, do more soloing, you don't need to group, espcially when you're up at the master level. You'll have to practice your patience when killing things, but you'll get more xp doing it than if you were grouping.

I just got done soloing giant baz on Dath with it. It works quite well.

ConcealShot is good but isn't the best solution for every situation. I use to use it while doing Piket missions. It was slow but effective. Then I found a faster way of doing it. Stack bleeds, peace, pull back, WarningShot, then kill it. Sure the Piket charges me but it is faster to kill them this way.

One thing I really like to use ConcealShot for is weaking my opponent first in PvE. Come across a group of Storm Troopers. Use ConcealShot to lower the HAM. Don't kill them though. Just snipe them all. Then switch to an AoE attack and wipe them out in their weakened state.

I do use ConcealShot exclusively on some targets since I solo (no pets) frequently. On group aggro MOBs it's a good attack to use. So I use it on Huurtons and the like.

IMHO, /Concealshot is one of the best shots we have. I used it all the time when I was leveling to take out targets that I had no hope of going toe-to-toe with, so to speak, otherwise. It allows you to solo a lot of things no one else can; you just need patience and a crate of muon gold. I am using itless now at Master, but I still use it. I use it less because at Master level speeds, I cankill a lot ofthings so fast that they never get a chance to aggro and, since they never geta chance to aggro, neither do their friends, so for many mobs, you do not specifically need it.

But I have and always will use it.

Oh, and to answer your question, a lot of Riflemen do not use it because it has one of the longest time multipliers of any of our shots. That makes it slower to use, and between the HAM costs and time involved, a lot of people feel it is easier to kill things with other shots (e.g., Bleed and Warningshot method mentioned above).

Soloing I do use conseal shot ALOT. As a Master Rifleman using conseal shto I can get a shot off every 1-1.5 secs dependig on the weapon I am using. Granted the damage multiplier sucks but for taking out large targets that can one shot kill you its worth the extra 5 min it may take to kill the mob.

I only use /concealshot for soloing and not grouping, and when I have used it, I have received very good performance. With a quick laser rifle I can get 1300-1800 regularly, whereas HS2 might be 700-900 and of course, if I have the right position and the right beast, they never aggro

back when I had shizzy snizzle weapons, (and still got those creature handler camps for imp mission) Ide use concealshot on the pet, and the other shots for the ranged peeps...simply thosepets of theirs get too close for comfort to handle with such poor accuracy in the beginning. Concealshot is great...but it remains great for rifleman lower on the class, when they are soloing. at master.....hmm..I havent used it once yet

Wait, wait, I'm confused? Why are you at a disadvantage in PvP? Rifleman kicks hard in PvP! You lost me there...

Concealed shot is one of the greatest shots ever; myself and another rifleman took down an AT-ST and then mowed down about 15 Stormtroopers that sat infront of someone's base. Not once did we take any damage.... and with the right buffs (minus the muon) we were able to shoot basically continuously with concealed shot.

The only thing I have not been able to suceesfully conceal shot is a krayt dragon; anyone?

hehe....this is getting silly...the DEVs made concealshot ? and i bet they know that itis a good PvE shot....but thats what a rifleman is.....and sniper shot should be in the master rifleman box...and not snipe IV...cuz alot of ppl just use that one shot..its a killer shot...only thing riflemen need is a PvP conceal thingie....mebby invisible on radar....or something like it...
