Thread: Story of the 10 Stormtroopers...

I had heard that the scan probots in the wilderness will call a starship with 10 stormtroopers for backup. Evidently I foundthe crime scene of such a shakedown near my house outside of Tyrena, Corellia. About 200m from my house I came across10 stormtroopers just standing togethter in a tightly packed group. There was no combat going on and I didnt see a corpse nearby, so evidently once they appear and dispatch the victim, they stay around a while, if not permanently.

Being a covert rebel and Master Rifleman (besides Master Smuggler), I decided to see just how deadly these guys are. I examined one of them: HAM bars about 7400. Only 10% (or was it 15%) resist to most types of attack. OK, I don't PvP a lot, but since I may be forced into it by these wilderness scans, I thought I may as well see how I would fare. I did the following to get ready (I have a hot-button macro set up to do all of this):

-- Took a muon gold (no other buffs)

-- Put on my composite helmet (only armor i ever wear, and then only rarely)

-- Equiped my Personal Shield Generator

-- Equiped by Jawa Ion Rifle

From about 60m, I opened fire withrifle Strafe Shot 2... a powerful (5x?) multi-target (AoE) shot. All 10, of course, immediately responded. The fight lasted maybe 30-40 seconds, not sure. I had to apply a couple of strong Stim-B's twice during the shoot-out, but other than that they dispatched fairly quickly with the following results:

-- I got 15 faction points each, so 150.

-- My PSG was about 50% damaged (maybe less, not sure what condition it was in when i started)

-- I looted the 10 bodies for over 1200 credits.

Now I don't know how strong other Master combat classes are, since I've been rifleman for a long time and don't want to give it up, but I would hope that other Master combat classes could also take out these guys. Now I'm not nearly so nervous about running into a probe in the wilderness.

Yeah, the troopers are a joke. Displeased at the fact that I had not

a) been searched

b) been harassed

I decided to

c) start my own Crack Down.

So in Mos Espa I attacked an Imperial soldier (with out armor) and withthe help of one other rebel..cleared the city out(they do respawn rather quickly though). I am a Fencer/Smuggler myself.

I originally posted this on the Smuggler forum (I am both MR and MS) but thought other riflemen may find it of interest also...

I've been running around stormtroopers with sliced weapons and armours for a couple of days now, nothing happen. Can't attack either since I'm neutral, ohh well. Cool story though.

I am sure other master professions can match that, especially the melee ones. I once witnessed a non-master fencer taking out4 elite and 2 warlord tuskens on his own by simply standing in the middle of them and spam AoE specials. He was buffed of course. That was damn amazing I tell you.

Yes, but you got the drop on them they didn't get the drop on you

Really I'm surprised that they gave out any faction points or credits. It should be a no win situation where you either die and are moved around a few klicks, or win but the only thing you win is lower conditions on your armor and gun; otherwise these are just ways to get good FP in the middle of nowhere at random intervals.

Wayne how could you! Think of their families! Their children!

Poor Steve, Bob, John, Neville, Bruce, Michael, Basil, Arthur, Walter and Guiseppe... I'll miss thy Friday night drinks at the Cantina

Still a good story though! It's great seeing a larger Imperial presence around, can't wait to see some AT-AT's roaming the Landscape.

I did exactly the same thing about 500m from Bestine, saw 10 storm-troopers patrolling the perimeter, I was declared and I didn’t feel like running. Opened fire with strafe shot 2 and flicked on my composite with not much hope of surviving took about 5 to half health, spammed it some more. Took around seven and my mind was rock bottom. Used some muon and equilibrium and the effect incapped me, hehe…weird. But anyways after not receiving a deathblow I got up and finished off the rest.

Myself and two guild mates ran into 10 STs on Yavin. I used some muon and PB'd, plus I was buffed. Dropped 4 of them using conceal shot. Then we just wiped out the other six.

i get off to talk to them find out that the officer is a recruiter (all of them like this are) anyway at this point i was agro'd by a stupid kreetle. So i unequip my rifle and get ready to punch the stupid thing to death (revenge for all those times they incap'd me when i started) when the nice ST's blitz the kreetle his friends and the lair.

was great. wish I had had time to take a screen shot. me and my 11 minions

Most friendly faction do this. I have high numbers with CorSec and they "help" me on hunts if nearby. Problem is sometimes I don't have access to the body

played with this stuff the other day... as i am imperial and had a tef i ran into problems and returned to talus imperial outpost... incredible, even the ATST worked to help me... you have to see a great sludge panther fall in 3 seconds after 25 imps and 2 ATST fire on her...

huuuuuuuge
