you are not supposed to take cover with Conceal Shot. Your story sounds weird to me as well. and actually you dont really need conceal shot as you are already high in the rifleman tree

To answer the question, yes conceal shot works. Most people use it to grind to master the fastest. Only on some rare occassions will conceal shot actually give your position

I think your problem is with maskscent. Few people even use it anymore. Mask scent as a chance of breaking and causing agro. Initiating combat breaks you maskscent with that creature. They are gonna agro. Anyways, based on what I know I think that is what the problem is.

That don't sound right, don't know what to tell ya.

As long as you are only using conceal shot and your weapon isn't auto-firing, they shouldn't normally detect you. (Sometimes concealshot can cause a bleed that does 1 health damage, then you get aggroed).

I had a macro that was just:

/concealshot;/concealshot;/concealshot;/concealshot;/concealshot;/concealshot

I would use this while laying on the ground with no armor on.

With your speed you should have no problems.

make sure you don't miss with concealshot. After like the second miss they find you and aggro

You got sniping tree in a few HOURS? Damn its taking me days...and im playing non-stop. I tried pikets at first but they take to long to kill...whats your secret then?

On topic...You're just getting bad luck...if you miss or they dodge/counter sometimes they will aggro...and sometimes even if you do hit every time, they randomly aggro...just luck.
