I didn't know it was happening until I logged in and got the patch. I was very excited indeed to see it come through as much like most of you here in this board I have been waiting since launch. It was all but assumed (I thought) that most interested in the profession knew the patch was today. Now, knowing that the patch was coming I have been logging at the political trainer spot in Bestine each night this week. I got lucky and got home as Radiant went up. I was lucky to make it, I assumed we'de be off till 8:00 p.m.EST like last patch and had plenty of time. I logged in, trained, flew to Moenia, and began the 5000 meter trek to the planned city. I knew it was somewhat a "race" but didn't take that too seriously... yet. When I got out there, the guild architect had the hall ready (as was planned for weeks) and I began to place it. My frist name was rejected, but the second one worked. There was my city hall! I was quite happy as were the members of my guild who made there way out to see this great accomplishment. All was well.

Then it started... maybe it was my fault for having a searchable character. Perhaps it was I didn't notice that my title had auto changed. But whatever started it a /tell rolled in. "Hi, did you get your hall placed?" Still gleaming with pride I said "Yep! It looks great". To this he responded by calling me several obcenities and saying I was a Power Gamer piece of **edit**. His city had been ready for months and they had to move it cause us "No life losers had nothing better to do then beat everyone out".

I will go on to say there were two more tells, much more mild, from disgruntled politicians with a useless Naboo City Hall who felt as though somehow I and 9 others had screwed their chance and their guild. What is the point of this? Is it somehow unfair I got here first? I don't want people to hate me just for having something that they want! I guess my point/plea here is to ask everyone who had to move or didn't get one at all not to blame the folks who got the spots. It's not the gamers fault and in reality is no ones fault. The servers can only handle so much. Not everyone who wanted in beta got in either (me). Oh well. Being a politician I should've expected the mud slinging to start early, but I barely got in my chair.

All in all, even as slow as this will appear to go, I love this class so far. Plenty of bugs and problems. I can't wait for this board to stop being about the cap and start being about the class.

You didn't do anything wrong, the devs did. they screwed dozens of 100+ people groups yesterday. Given the amount of work involved, I understand some people lost their nerves. It doesn't excuse them, but I understand it.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

I couldnt agree with you more. As for the big guilds that have been planning this for a long time, i am truly sorry that you missed the opportunity. Now Bloomman, honestly, would you remove your town hall if you were offered something in return? Like:

1) A nice location close to their proposed market place / shuttle port?

2) A hefty sum of credits to compensate for your time and effort to building the hall in the first place?

3) Perhaps a location in which to open a cantina or some similar structure?

Just some ideas for those PA's that missed their chance. Not to say the DEVS didnt mess this one up because i believe they did as well. Just trying to say that we, as players, need to come together to overcome the short sitedness of the DEVS. We need to work together people. If they do not want to offer something in return then they will have to wait till the cap is removed. But I as a PA leader would give up a little land to see my dream come to its true fruition.
