Hello, folks ... looking for some advice and guidance here.

After placing our city hall, I tried to turn zoning rights on ... but then, whenever I'd use "grant zoning rights" I'd be told that I had to be the major or a member of the militia to grant zoning rights (even though the city hall recognizes me as mayor and the voting terminal recognizes me as the incumbant mayor.)

Am I missing something? Is this a bug other people ran into?

I'm not sure why this is happening to you.

When we placed our hall last night (Hooray!), first thing I did was : 1) Paid maintenance, 2) Turned Zoning Rights on and it worked just fine.

The only error I get is when I check the citizenship report, it says something like "You cannot dismount anything at this time".

Other than that I'm really happy how everything is working, I was actually way more bugs than that.

I got this once when I tried to grant rights in a person private home.

For some reason you cannot grant zoning rights while *inside* the city hall. Try walking outside, I'm sure that will help

Bingo! You're right ... I was standing in the City Hall trying to grant zoning rights, you'd think that would be okay for a Mayor to do Thanks so much for the advice, I wouldn't have thought of that.
