If I enable zoning rights, what will happen to the existing structures within the zone? I'd hate to piss off 40 people and have their houses removed accidentally..... I'm just getting a LOT of squatters right now... One person even parked a large home DIRECTLY in front of the city hall.

Definitely use the enable zoning rights. Existing structures are not affected. Anyone wanting to place a house/structure within the city limitshas to have zoning rights before they can place.

Yea. I'm going to go enable it right now. Thanks.

How do I remove someones home once they've placed it? Can I do that without militia?

Well, thats the rub. You can only raise the taxes, /citybanand/or possibly use the malitia if you can't come to some peaceable arrangement.

We still have majority rule in the city thankfully.

If I'm reading this correctly, zoning rights are only for civic structures....? That is at least what the description of the command implies. Granting zoning rights is only for placing civic structures like cantinas...

With my zoning rights enabled, can anyone still place a home within the city limits or does this mean people need to request a grant from me in order to place anything?

Sigh, I'm going to need to spend a lot more time on these forums I see.

Zoning rights means that you have to manually give anyone permission who wants to place a building in your ACTIVE city radius (ie. at Outpost you can only do this within your original 150m radius, not your 450m prospective radius). It has nop affect on existing structures, which means that house is right in front of your city hall for good, unless you can convince a CSR it's griefing.

But don't be upset, remember: THIS IS A GAME FEATURE. This is supposed to make being a Politician and running a town FUN and EXCITING. *smacks the idiots who thought this was a "good thing"*

Well, I figure I'll just pay each one of my residents 200k and raise the taxes to 100k a day. I wonder how long he'll stay.
