Thread: Merchant Tent Maintenance
If I understand correctly, each Merchant Tent increases the City's maintenance by 19,600. Is that right?
I really hope the developers take a look at this one. Merchant Tents are the only "City Structure" (I am defining as "a structure that increases city maintenance costs") that can be placed outside of a city. It can also be declared a primary residence.
So if I place a Merchant Tent outside of a city radius, I don't add to the maintenance cost of a city, but if it's inside it does.
And If I am inside a city and make it my primary residence, it becomes the only re-deedable preimary residence (I think) that adds to city maintenance. In addition, it has it's own structure maintenance costs.
Does this seem a little screwy? I feel that merchant tents should be treated as any other housing inside a city. It shouldn't add to the city's maintenance costs.
Now, I am getting my information from something that may be a little out of date. If I am wrong and the Merchant Tents do not, in fact, add to the city's maintenance costs, I'm sorry. I just can't find anything recent that states this one way or another.
merchant is a 1 lot auto public house.. as I understand it.
we have one.. it didn't add to our city maint.
(it is under my lot count)
usually anything that adds to city maint is where no one owns it.. (shuttle port, city hall, mission terminals.. and such)
Thanks.
Would also be great if, as a Master Merchant, the tent takes no lots ![]()
