When was his character created? If this is true and his character was created before the Player City Patch then our path to Jedi is not set at character creation.

No clue. It was posted somewhere on these boards, but my friend could not tell me which forum. Might have been GAT, since he reads those alot.

I just cannot help but laugh at this one... All I can do is imagine someone who went through BH, DE, Architect and WS... then gets the one saying Politician... roflmao

They can either whine and complain like children, or they can join a city and start making a case for chan, role-play it. ( not thier strong suit obviously )

I never really believed it was done at char creation. I figure checking the holocron sets the goal for you (possibly even overriding an original goal) to a certain profession. This profession is selected randomly BUT with a weighting based on current population levels - more specifically reverse population levels.

Every holo profession I've ever heard of has been an elite or hybrid. Politician is basic.

I rather doubt the veracity of this.

Urruuk MD/MCM/Bowcaster-4 (but still, sadly, pull out the laser rifle if I'm in a real fight)
Vlok MSW (in training)/MArt
Weyrinq (eventual MChef/MTailor, when I have the time)
Xarq (ex-holo grinder, now just broken)
Ykruu MWS/MAS/MDE (10 pointer and thus without customers)
Zyanmu MArch/MPol/Merchant, Mayor
One of the founders of Intrepid.Dantooine.New Hope (after grinding 20 walls by hand for the city hall)

It isnot reallybasic, you cant start out as one ( can you? ). You have to have aprenticeship points.

It is different than other basic profesions.
