The mayor must do this...

Select the Structure Management Terminal.

Type /setpermission admin <playername>

***do not put the <> around the players name***

This will put them on the admin list.

Can we get a 2nd party to confirm this?

You don't have to select the terminal, you can just select the guy and do a /setperm admin

Well all I can say is that it worked with the Aeryn's Respite city hall. Our mayor added me and our Internal Affairs person to the list using that string.

I was in the city hall and found some commands to give you info:

/setpermission admin <name> .... the person doesn't need to be around, you just need to be in the building
/structurestatus .... brings up the status window, helps to see how many items in the city hall
/name .... you can change the name from being just "City Hall"

That's all I remember and/or all I tried. Hope this helps out.

How do you remove someone from the admin list. Same command again?

Yes, the same command will remove them. And I'm pretty sure that at server restart it clears the admin list for the city hall as our guild leader was an admin that night then in the morning was not. I can't confirm this as being the reason but after server restart there were no more admins.

Well the easiest and in a sense best way since it cannot possibly be a bug or exploit is to loose the election to an interior decorator for a week so they can do the job then let you go back into office the week after. If your on Bloodfin look me up since I can use free politician xp until I get my town down.

Our mayor lost admin to the city hall following the election (which he won). Which was bad, since we were displaynig all the things like deeds for shuttleports, etc., for everyone in town to see that we were prepared to move forward as soon as we hit the right city ranks. Now thosedeeds are decorations that nobody can pick up.

Well the mayor may get it back after server restart.

Also, if you have novody targetted and do /setpermission admin it will bring up the normal window.

Eclipse resets almost every morning. Each day while I was decorating, our interim mayor had to re-grant me rights. So I'd imagine they reset on server resets.
