Thread: TK-421 why are you patroling this City?
NOTE: THE BELOW IS MADE UP DO NOT TRY IT IN GAME ITS JUST AN IDEA
Mayor Ishute: TK - 421 why are you patroling my city?
TK: Well I was recruited by BigBob to help him kill rebels but orders from Vader stated that BigBob could not longer us 3 faction protection personel at the same time.
Mayor Ishute: Yes I also recieved this order still doesnt answer my question.
TK: Well BigBob saw no point in just having me sitting in my Data room doing nothing while he walked around with his AT - ST for help so he RELEASED me to the city.
Mayor Ishute: How did he do that?
TK: He set me on patrol points and then typed /releasedtocity. Since then I have been walking up and down this street looking for any rebel trying to wlak through.
Mayor Ishute: Ok TK - 421 just as long as your not charging the city for the patrol thats fine. Have a good day.

So the idea is two fold firstly it gives a use to the pets we can no longer use and secondly if the devs set a limit like 2 NPC protectors per city level then at most a level 5 city could have 10 Storm Troopers doing a patrol.
Or they could set poimts so an AT - ST is worth 5 points the rest are worth 1 point which means you could have 2 at - st or 1 at - st and 5 troopers patroling city.
These NPC's would be earned the same way they are now but at1/3 the cost because they can never leave city once put on patrol and are online 24/7 and just waiting to get blow to kindom come buy an enemy assault.
Also players agree to the terms that AI are stupid and that the devs are not going to have to spend 6 months teaching them strategy if attacked. They are cheap because they are only for SHOW not for USE. They are their to add a little to your city as a DECORATION.
Sounds like a great idea... so long as you change out TK-421 for rebel trooper... ![]()
The elected Mayor should also have some ability to keep things under control... either by storing unwelcome NPCs/droids in the City's datapad or a "zoning" command that grants/revokes such donations from individual citizens.
Good idea. I'dalso like to be able to release a pet to patrol around my house, not just to a city.
buy faction bases and place them around the outskirts of your city... you get that effect already ![]()
I do agree it'd be nice to add flavor npc's to the town though... but as far as factional stuff, that can be achieved with the system as it is now (through faction bases). Save your pennies ![]()
