Only solution: remove the caps.

With th caps, players who got beaten in the race, and who have every right to the city you have; shouldn't be penalised because of you.

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

yes, great idea, however you totaly miss the point.

what you and i feel is greifing and squatting, soe believe this to be part of the game.

you and i and many many others want a little place to call our own with our guild and friends. soe and a fair % of the playerbase want cities to be open for all, there for anyone to take over, back and forth, back and forth..

it comes down to what those that produce the game feel is best for the game. not waht you and i want out of the game.

Many cities like ours have a planned layout that goes far beyond the 150m radius we start with. After placing the city hall about 300m from our old PA hall site we had to move every house to reorient the city around the city hall instead of the PA hall. The result is a long main plaza that extends 300m from the city hall entrance lined with houses and culminating in our mall. If your plan was inacted I wouldn't be able to get far on my layout at all because I could only place those structures that are within 150m. Your idea would not really allow any city with any desire to have a structured layout to exist.

Nice intent, but it isn't workable. Lets all try to focus on bug issues that we can get fixed instead of new and unusual ideas to grief or prevent griefing of player cities.

I think the easiest solution is also the simplest for the coders to do, why not make the player cities work the same way as npc cities and not allow structures to be placed within 500m of the city hall structure unless it is within the city limits and approved by the mayor. By doing this it would make it impossible for someone to place a home just outside of a player city area so that it gets incorperated after the city grows the following week. Of course pre existing structures would be excempt, I think if the Dev's did this one small little thing it would stop a majority of the problems of people being vindictive and trying to take over a city by squatting. Along with that I also believe that the /cityban command should be improved to where it would totally ban the individual from entering the city limits, it should also allow the ability to ban a guild entirely from the city. Most people that have joined the player cities have done so to have a nice quite spot that they can carry out there day to day stuff without harrasement.

That's probably the best answer I have heard so far. It would (I can assume) be easy enough to write into the game to add soon, and it completly ends the problem.

Love the no-build idea
