I enabled zoning rights in the city management terminal and people are still able to place houses within city limits without my consent. Is anyone else having this problem?

Was zoning rights ever supposed to stop people from building houses? I never saw anything definitive that said it was supposed to stop anything other than other player structures (like cantinas or med centers).

Regardless of what it is supposed to do, as long as their are city caps in place, I hope that you cannot stop someone from building a house and declaring residence. I understand there is grief potential (which isn't really well understood yet) and I also understand that if I move into a PA town, the politics will likely be dominated by that PA. But the thought of 10exclusive PA towns on each starter planet and others not being allowed tolive in a city is a bit disheartening.

I enabled zoning rights and it did work to keep folks from dropping structures, but I can't use /grantzoningrights. When I try to it tells me I must be a mayor or member of militia. But I AM the mayor. Bugged I guess.

Thats the problem I have as well Donnah. I turn on zoning rights, and no one can build... but then I cannot grant zoning rights and get the same message as you do.

I had to be outside of the city hall to grant rights.

I'll try again, but we tried to grant rightsinside city hall, right outside city hall, and next to the lot where he wanted to put the house.
