Thread: Problems placing terminals

Excited as I'd guess any Mayor was about placing mission terminals, I ran to our city hall after training and plopped down a general mission terminal. Everyone's happy.

Then I get a request to place a scout terminal. I try four times with no success, and the fifth time after moving around a bit I get it down. Again, everyone is happy.

Then I get a request for an artisan terminal I go to place, and I cannot...I've reach the limit. I check my structure status, and low and behold...it tells me I have 5 scout terminals.

Now I've already submitted a ticket for this, days ago, but my citizens want their terminals now and I have no way of getting rid of the phantom four. Anyone have any suggestions?

rofl... I feel for you brother..

I had the same problem... I placed a terminal in front of our cantina on the foyer and I didn't see it... didn't get any errors but still didn't see it..

tore up the cantina and there it was.... at ground level about 1 story below the level I was trying to place at.

try using the /pickup <item_name> command and see if that helps... If you can't figure it out, open a ticket and a csr will tell you the exact name of the item you have to pickup to get this back... Considering all the terms where the same you might windup picking up the one that did in fact set right...

good luck to you

oh for future reference... place em outside on the grass.... will probably save you some aggrevation

I didn't use the command line pickup command... I used the destroy command from the radial simply because I was able to see the term after redeeding the cantina...

but you can't redeed a city hall

is there a select command? cause if you can select the term without seeing it you'll be able to bring up th radial by using the "~" key

i tried the /pickup command and was told i don't have permissions (I'm the mayor for cryin' out loud). also tried /destroy which gave me the "are you sure..." dialog, but did not result in destroying it.

That was exactly the issue with ballot boxes in PA Halls. I'll bet the issue is the same.

are you sure the /destroy <item_name> didn't destroy one of the hidden ones?

and once again, not sure if this is a command but try /select <item_name> and then use th ~ hey to bring up it's radial.

and no this is different from the ballot box... these terms ar sitting at ground level but the hall is above that.

i've been checking the city structures list from the city terminal. there are three artisan terminals hidiing underground or something. i do the destroy thing, get the confirmation dialog, click yes and nothing else happens. no message that the terminal's been destroyed. i look at the city structure list and there are still three artisan terms. i can /examine and get the examine window for it, but that's about it. i tried the /select with the ~ bit. no go. as an experiment i tried /select on the visible mission terminal we have placed and it doesn't select it.

sounds like a job for a CSR

good luck... hope you opened a ticket already cause the wait is likely to be long considering the amount of people opening up tickets because they didn't get their way
