DATELINE CORELLIA - Today the Galactic Planning Commision announced that budget cuts are being considered for cities across the Galaxy. While no numbers have been finalized, representatives have been heard talking of multipliers based upon city ranks. From what we've been able to learn, those numbers might be as low as 25k * Rank.

Our inside informant, known only as Deep Snout, believes those numbers to be fairly solid, but warns there still may be some play on the lower end.

We'll bring you more on this story as our investigation continues.

Great news it sounds like! I still like the idea of finding someone way of discouraging poor placement of town halls, but I suppose the cost to build one will have to do. Also with the new flexible build locations, maybe we won't find poorly placed Town Halls ever.

Anyway thanks for using a flavor post, it made me smile and helps remind us about the RPG part of the MMO`.

I agree that town halls should be based off the rank of the city, but i also think that 25k a week is way to cheap, there is going to be cities sprouting up everywhere if this is the case.

Keep up the good work, and props for Deep Snout! lol

Yahoooooo!!!! Thanks for the update...It should be based upon rank. I dont think you will see as many City Halls popping up as everyone thinks...Same thought was about PA Halls at one time. ..even now they are cheap to buy and people are just putting on up...just my opinion.

That is very good news indeed, 25k times rank is reasonable. The way it was before would have killed many roleplaying communities....

I hope this is a sign of a shift in the philosophy of the game, I had almost given up hope

Not sure why you got 3 stars for this, if I could I would give you 10 stars - or 5 stars twice!

Well that just ruined player cities.. Now any newb will be owning 1k worth of land without any kind of controll over who will place a city hall.. Do complainers who cant run 20 missions a week change what is done in this game? After 1 week planets like naboo will not have an inch to place a city hall on.. It is a shame that people cant think long term.

25k almost sounds TOO cheap . . . maybe 50k would take people through Rank 1 and 2? It should hurt a LITLLE bit to start a city, after all . . . .
